Thanks for looking at this! My wedding is in two months and I want to add sleeves to this dress not a tiny little strap but something thicker however I'm having trouble picturing something that won't take away from the dress! All ideas are welcome if you can add pics of your own that's even better...

*my goal is not to make the entire dress different but to just add somewhat of a sleeve I feel strapless is not decent for church

This would match the bottom fabric of your dress

Mrs C to be oh my gosh that looks so amazing! Especially on your dress you could go with either one! I am feeling more confident on doing that with my dress it's pretty simple to do and I think I'd go with the chiffon like material wow. Definitely gonna show my seamstress do you mind if I screen shot these pics?

I would suggest a bolero to give you more of an illusion look or I like how the little bit of lace look in mrs c to be and samtoine2017 pictures

This is mine at the moment. She assures me she can fix it. She has until Friday or I'm having her take them off!

She is trying to pin them up but they feel awkward to me and limit my mobility. I just don't know what to do and my wedding is next week!

I thought your sleeves were great but let's see are you trying to cover the whole shoulder?

I also highly recommend a bolero.

I was going to add straps like @Wendy, similar style, to my dress. My mom is a seamstress and so she was going to add them. In our minds, they looked great!

When we got down to measuring for them and seeing how they would actually look it was just awful. It just didn't fit the dress, which is why I suppose it is strapless.

One reason we didn't like it, though this is specific to adding mesh/tulle sleeves, is that I am wearing a 2-tiered veil. The veil is very important to me and FH, and it drapes on my shoulders. It looked awful with the straps, like I was just covered in tulle.

Yes you can screen shot if you want! These straps are just from David's bridal and they apparently attach to the loops at the top of a strapless bra so they are removable if you don't like them! But you want to make sure that whatever you choose matches your dress

@FutureMrsB was the veil the only reason? I'm not going to have a veil Smiley surprise
