Hey y'all! I have really sensitive skin. I wash my face at least once a day and try to moisturize when I remember. Other than that, I really don't do anything. It breaks out at least once a month around my period but I don't mind it too much. Lately I've been getting little breakouts around my jaw line and lower cheeks too. However, when I wear makeup (maybe once a month tops) I breakout for the next couple of days afterward. Anybody have any advice for this? Or any products that helped? I don't know if I should wear it more as my wedding gets closer because I know I'll be wearing it at the rehearsal and I don't want to be broken out the next day on my wedding. I know I've got a while but it's been bugging me lately. Thanks!

I suffer from hormonal acne as you described and I recently started on a Korean skin care routine. It's called CosRX and so far, it has been amazing. You can get most of their products on iherb.com, gmarket.com and amazon and there are plenty of blogs that tell you how to use it and how to introduce the products slowly. What has helped the most is using some actives (AHA and BHA toners). I'm slowly starting to add in more products and I'm hoping this well help solve my acne problems way before my wedding.

It might be too close to your date because it can make your skin worse before getting better, but the oil method is the best thing for your skin.

I use coconut oil to remove my makeup at the end of the day and as a moisturizer. I used to get red and breakout while only using Cetaphil until I switched to coconut oil 7 years ago. I never get pimples on my face anymore or red irritation. Homemade cold cream free of mineral oil from etsy is also really great.

The first thing I would suggest in addition to washing your face is an exfoliator. I use proactiv exfoliator and their green tea moisturizer and they are AWESOME. kinda expensive, but they work. I don't like the rest of their acne products they didn't do much for me. But I find if I was my face once a day and exfoliate once a day as well as Moisturize your skin will thank you. Also make sure you're cleaning makeup brushes regularly!!! That's something I need to work on lol. And Clinique is a good foundation

Hi almost date twin! I've struggled with acne since I was a teen (25 now) and it's something that runs in my family. Both my brother and dad went on accutane. Mine started to settle down when I went on birth control. Additionally I use the Clinique 3 step system during the day and at night I use the Mario B drying lotion as a spot treatment. Sometimes I use the dr Brandt microdermabrasion

Last November, I splurged on a set of facials to prepare my skin for the wedding and it's so worth the price. We have done microdermabrasion and peels and not only is my acne reduced, my pores are smaller and I can get away with less makeup on a day to day basis. Find a good esthetican who can give you reccomendations on products you can use in between facials
