Accessory and jewelry help

Jessie Chambers, on August 24, 2019 at 3:00 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Hi Ladies, so I was wondering is I could get your help with this. So my wedding is October 31st and while I have my dress that I'm absolutely in love with I cannot for the life of me figure out jewelry or veil/headpiece for it. The whole wedding an color scheme is very dark and dramatic (hence Halloween). Gold, Burgundy, and Black are our colors and my bridesmaids are in all black if that's any help on ideas.

Wow, I *love* your dress. (I seriously considered a black/gray dress myself!)

Since there's a motif on it and it's such a stunning statement piece already, you might have great results keeping it a bit simple. You could do a single statement flower in your hair in black, white, or burgundy. Delicate pearl jewelry and a burgundy lip would work. Or maybe garnet or ruby drop earrings or a simple pendant necklace—topaz would work too. (Or, of course, just glass or whatever that look like those stones.) I could see a feminine/romantic take on edgier chainmaille jewelry maybe working on the neck too.

You could definitely try a birdcage veil (probably black), to bring more glam drama. You could also do a more traditional cathedral veil in black, or in a black-grey or grey-white gradient. Personally, I'd go for silver-tone jewelery if you opt for metals. (And I think it's fine to have silver jewelry even if gold is in your motif!) You will look amazing!

Hi!! I’m doing Halloween next year, and I’m also doing a black dress! When in the shop I tried on a few veils (in white of course) to get a feel for the style of them with my dress so I was able to decide! I would suggest trying that, and then you can shop as you please for the right color/fabric etc on your own! Given the look of your dress I would personally suggest a shorter look, maybe a drop veil or a bird cage. Anything longer might get in the way of your dress layering!

For jewelry, I definitely think a nice choker style pearl necklace would look amazing with your dress! It would also look so lovely with a birdcage veil like suggested above. Your dress is so beautiful!

I think simple stud earrings and a bridal headband would pair nicely!

I’d say skip the jewelry, that dress is amazing! I’d consider a white long veil or perhaps a black one but it may be too much black.

Love your dress. Love it. So much.

I LOVE your dress!!! I would skip the veil and find a stunning headpiece with simple jewelry or get dramatic Victorian style jewelry and a simple headpiece, maybe just burgundy flowers? Either way this is going to look incredible!!!
