Absent Florist

I am having an issue with my florist.. I contacted them to make changes to my flowers (which was originally stated by them as possible before signing the contract) . My wedding is 8/31. I sent and email (preferred method of contact) around mother’s day staying the changes I wanted. She said she’d get back to me in a few days. Come mid June we finally got ahold of someone, they adjusted some things but jacked up the price out of the budget that we stated. They said they could adjust and they would contact us the next day... three weeks later-NO RESPONSE. I called and set up a meeting for a specific time that they’d call to discuss and NOTHING. At this point- I’m at a loss. Any advice?!

    We don’t live in that area.. our family does though. My mother in law said she will be stopping over there on Friday..

    Have you put a deposit down? I'd just go elsewhere if no money has been exchanged. What are the changes you made? Your contract states you can make changes but that doesn't necessarily mean if you change the products that it will be the same price. If they don't call you, call them. Stop by? It is not ok for them to not respond but you also have a responsibility to follow up within a reasonable amount of time if they are dropping the ball.

    Yes! We have put our deposit down. I changed the flowers/“look/feel”. I had given the representative the budget we were willing to increase- and he said that it was do-able in that range, then doubled it. After doubling it, I said it was too much and that’s where they said they’d call me the next day- never did then never follow through on the meeting.
