Fellow brides and grooms, I want to pick your brain!

I want to suggest a Sound of Music themed wedding to my FH. The theme would be fairly subtle--edelweiss shoes and bouquet, some food and beverages from the Von Trappe lodge, instrumental music during dinner from the film, etc. I unfortunately will not be able to acquire Maria's dress from the movie wedding. The venue would be in the mountains in VT.

Any thoughts on this idea? Is it cute or cheesy? Any other ideas for ways to work the theme into a wedding?

I love this idea!! i think it't super original and if you have a vision go for it!! i can't wait to see picture.
I will say, as someone who did a themed wedding (Harry Potter) it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for when you have a specific idea of what you want. see what you can DIY to make your vision a reality.
