And you know what for those two to do what they did, and knew full well that our wedding was the following weekend, and if don't get an apology just remember actions have consequences.

We feel like that was very hurtful

My cousin is choosing to have her wedding reception smack in between a family friend's wedding and mine. There will be plenty of overlapping guests at all three events. It'll be 1-2 weeks before mine, and less than a month after the family friend's. She was engaged after both of us and is now married anyway.

While it is what it is and I know there will be some out of state family who will probably end up missing mine because of it, the worst part about the whole thing was that her step-mom believed that we could share decorations and wanted me to let her use all of the decor I've come up with over the last year at her wedding which will be before mine. Lol, no. I'd be fine sharing a few things but I will not let my cousin have a wedding nearly identical to mine a week before mine.

View Quoted Comment I understand completely, especially if you sent out your save the dates first and have been planning, etc. it’s not that you’re NOT happy for them, but unless they had a specific reason to choose THAT date, it seems a bit coincidental. ❤️


Will people have to travel to either wedding or are they local?

Which is actually is the weekend of their wedding. We could’ve done the 3rd but it’s gonna be stifling hot. And the 10 the Ironman would be setting up so 24th was basically it.

View Quoted Comment All I am saying is that if they had the common courtesy to reached out to us! We would’ve been fine with it but they didn’t do that. My cousin Allison for example who got married in October of 2020. If we had to do October if we didn’t get our ideal September date. I reached out to see if she was okay with it. These two didn’t do that. We were just at wedding where his parents in attendance didn’t come up to us and say something on their son’s behalf but they didn’t do that. But I watch a lot of ID where I forgot that narcissists are out for one person and one person only and that’s themselves.
