😂 honestly I wouldn't like if someone proposed at my wedding without asking me first.

Proposals during holidays are pretty common though.

I'm glad your friend asked you ahead of time and didn't assume you'd just be happy for him if he did it at your wedding.

I would imagine that someone would feel really offended I'd you said no.

I thought my best friends boyfriend was going to propose at my wedding and I was going to be really upset about it. 6 months later I'm looking back on it and thinking how epic it would have been. I met my husband around the same time I hooked the two of them up so it would have been cool for them to get engaged at my wedding.

I think sometimes people get so carried away with a surprise thing, or a public thing, they think spectacular, that they do not realize it will upset their DO, and destroy the experience. I have seen things backfire. And I hate seeing people obviously feeling humiliated in public . Yes, I feel strongly about that.

They shouldn't. It is the couple's one and only wedding. Anyone wanting to take it over for a while should realize that they are asking a big thing, and not take offense if the couple does not want to share. Go into it knowing you are asking for something most people think is quite rude. If anyone has reason to take offense, it is the couple .

I think it’s tacky and would be so upset if someone did this at my wedding. If the proposer in question cleared it with the bride and groom and they were okay with it, that’s their call but most people seem to think it’s 100% not cool. Don’t steal someone else’s special day.

    At mine, absolutely not.

my friends are letting someone do this at their wedding, it's their choice but I hate the idea. I feel like it is very tacky.

This is never okay. Especially if someone did this at my wedding without talking to me about it that would be horrible

I'm super blunt with my friends so I would just say no, you have your day and I'll have mine!
