A dumpster.... a FKING DUMPSTER

MrsBest2B, on April 29, 2016 at 9:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 46

I'm about to call this whole thing off and elope. Now I get word that we have to rent a dumpster. I have to rent a F-ING dumpster for my WEDDING.

All inclusive people. Book all inclusive, cause this historic/rustic/Pinterest wedding bullshit is just that. It's all bullshit and it ain't cheap and it's 100 times more work.

O-V-E-R IT Officially in bridezilla mode. 50 more days of hell, wrath and fury.

There's a venue around here where you have to rent port-o-potties so this doesn't surprise me.

Because I picked a venue within a state park so requires outside garbage to be removed from the site. I sent all of that paperwork to my caterer a year ago and assumed she understood that, but apparently only just noticed NOW and said they can't remove the garbage themselves which leaves me fucked and renting a dumpster.

That's lame on their part!! I had a city owned historic building as well and the caterers hauled all our trash for like an extra $100. Even if the trash wasn't generated by them or their services.

How much are we talking here? I know in-city can be as low as $50 but a park...?

I've never been in the dumpster market before, so I have no idea how much it'll be. It better be no more than $200 and even that's a lot. They recommended a private disposal company, not the city.

The dumpster market. God what an awful thing to have to say before your wedding Smiley smile

Looked into renting one when selling my home; it was cheap. You just have to specify where they put it (AND CHECK ON IT) or they'll drop it any place. But that was when I was living in a more rural/suburban area.

That really sucks that it adds yet a new item to your todo list and finances! That's pretty standard language on these types of contracts and the caterer is usually in charge of removal so it's surprising this caterer isn't doing it.

I agree, inclusive has to be the way to go if anyone is on the fence. We're paying almost as much (maybe over) for a semi inclusive/rustic/diy-ish wedding for half the guest count than our friends that got married last year at an all inclusive for a guest list of 200 people.

It sucks but I'm told it's worth it. Hopefully the pros are a longer list than the cons for you especially since you're so close to the wedding.

Hehe I someday want to meet someone that will say "I'm in the dumpster industry" when asked what they do for a living.

@OP: I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Totally wrath-worthy. Hope it is not too expensive, and at least it'll give you a hilarious story to tell people forever.
