Hey girls! It is so good to finally be on here. I have always dreamed of the day I could finally come and chat with you all about my engagement. Well, it finally happened and I have a question. I am thinking about possibly scheduling a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift and I wanted to hear from you....

I am thinking about possibly scheduling a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift and I wanted to hear from you.


Generally speaking,

For any of you ladies that have already had one done, what did you think about the experience? Are you pleased with the results. Is it worth it?


And if you have one scheduled to be done or you are thinking about it, I would love your thoughts as well.


Would any of you ladies who know about it be willing to chat further with me about it? I have some questions.

    DO IT!!! I actually just got my proofs back this week, they aren’t even edited yet and I’m blown away. What motivated me was I knew how much my fiancé would love these pictures so I had to make it happen. My photographer does special sales and it was $450 for an hr shoot with 3 outfits, hair and makeup, and 10 digital images. But when I was there she loved the way the pictures were coming out she ended up shooting me for another hr! It was awkward at first (mostly because I’m pretty conservative) but once we got going it became really fun.

    I have mine scheduled for July and I can't wait! I am finally all done picking out outfits. I have an all lace white bodysuit, a matching bra/underwear set, and a white button down I am going to wear. I am getting the button down embroidered with my future last name too - I think he will really love that. I am wearing my wedding jewelry and my veil for some pictures too, plus I am bringing my wedding shoes.

    The cost was $450 and I get $35 digital photos. I do not know the pricing for albums yet though. If my photographer charges too much, I might just do it myself through shutterfly.

    I scheduled one during a Black Friday deal! Was $125, includes HMUA and 3 hours of shooting. However after I booked I noticed the prices of the book/photos are expensive, but I think it’ll be worth it to have it done while I’m young. 😂 I ordered a pair of underwear from Etsy that will have “Mrs. “ and my future last name on the butt. I’m still trying to figure out what else I want to wear, but my photo shoot isn’t until April.

    Yes I got an online gallery to choose my favorite photos from, then received them back watermark removed, and was able to download to DropBox!

    Ooh that’s super exciting!! Good luck with yours! If you haven’t found a photographer already, I highly recommend getting someone who specializes in boudoir photography! This was the biggest tip from my engagement photographer!!

    Right, you have time! It will be a difficult decision. I will research some in my area. But even then, it will be hard letting anyone take those kinds of pictures of me :p
