9/5/2020 Bride without a dress- should i worry?

Crystal, on May 6, 2020 at 3:06 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
Hello

I was to go dress shopping in mid March had all my appointments booked and they all were canceled.
I keep rescheduling them as our stay at home orders get extended. It seems like my old chance is to buy off the rack and hope alterations will be a breeze. Any LA recommended wedding dress shops that I can count on finding a size 18?

Try online. Cocomelody ships dresses to you that you can try on and send back if you don’t like them. Stillwhite, preownedweddingdress and nearlynewlywed have designer gowns that are new, samples, dresses brides never picked up or used dresses that brides themselves are selling. ModCloth, Lulus, Asos, Etsy, EBay, Amazon and Fashion Nova also sell wedding gowns.

Azazie is another one people love. I got my size 22 from David's Bridal, and even when they made me one it was rushed and got to me in about a month. If they have things in the warehouse it can take a week. So don't despair! You have plenty of options. DB is even doing virtual appointments so you can see dresses.

Oh, also lastminutebride.com. They have designer dresses ready to ship, though they're samples and may not be perfect.

Cocomelody also has a shop in LA. Their production time is usually 45 days but they can do in less time if you pay.

I’ve seen multiple bridal shops near me are doing virtual appointments - you do a videocall to tell them what styles you like, they show you dresses, you share inspo pics etc, then they do contactless drop off of a few dresses for you to try on at home. I’d be shocked if there weren’t any bridal shops doing this in LA too. Good luck!

You could look into Anomalie. They are a custom wedding gown company. I have heard great things about them.

I had to buy off rack. Luckily, I was able to find one that fit with no need for alterations except a bustle. Good luck to you!! I hope you find something perfect.
