The best way to cut costs is to limit the guest list. Less people = less $$$

As far as venues go, places like state/local parks, or "club rooms" (such as a moose lodge) tend to be very inexpensive. You could also try to think outside the box and reach out to local businesses that aren't typical "wedding venues" (like libraries, restaurants, art galleries, zoos, etc.).

Established photographers & videographers are going to expensive. No way getting around that. They have spent years honing their skills and deserve to get paid their worth. If you are needing to cut back on those expenses, you can limit the amount of hours you have them. For example, you could cut out getting ready pics and/or first looks, or have them leave after the major events of the reception (like first dance, cake cutting, speeches, etc.), instead of having them stay all night. You could also choose only one or the other (photography or videography). If you go with a photographer, you could then have friends share video clips they recorded, or you could set up a phone or ipad on a tripod and videotape it yourself. There are actually companies that will ship you video equipment to set up and then you mail back the footage and they create a video for you. You could also search instagram or local facebook wedding groups for up and coming photog/videog who are still building portfolios/clientele.
