80-100 guests.

Shoot..were expecting 60-70 and I consider that tiny. I originally wanted almost 150. Too bad it's so expensive.

I'd consider 80 to be on the smaller side of average, if that makes sense. We're inviting 160, and I'll be shocked if more than 10 decline. Almost all of our guests are local.

Ours is the same as @Amy's at 106. I'd be happy with 80-85 too.

We will probably have 75 small but perfect number to me. We invited 80 a few invites still out.

Our list is at 92, and I'm sure we're forgetting people. I would bet no more than 40 show up. Too many out of towners.

Vendors will say it is small and intimate. I am having 70-80 which I know is on the smaller side but some vendors are like wow that is really small! And I'm like oh I guess it is.... really?

I agree with Amy and Candice. I invited 160, but only 80 have said yes, and honestly at this point i am hoping not one body more than 100 shows or someone will be hungry lol

I've got 116 on my list. But I've sent out more than that thanks to my mom. I'm hoping for 100.

I've learned that it really depends on where you are living. We are having a 100 guests. In my family, that is a small wedding. I've never even been to a wedding this small. BUT we had a really hard time finding a venue that could accommodate more than a 100 guests where I am currently living. A few max out at 100, but many are limited to about 50 or 70. I've talked to several people around here that see 100 as a large wedding.

Tiffany - you know your guests best, but you may be surprised. We invited 120 guests and we have 96 who RSVPed that they are coming and have flights/hotels booked. The only guest who is from in town is the priest. The remaining 95 are from out of state. That being said, I expected ~100 from the beginning. I know my family and I knew that people would come no matter how far it would be to travel. My FH family also lives out of state, but it is only about a 4 hour drive for them. Nonetheless, he was actually surprised about how many are actually coming.

We're at just about the same, 80-100, which everyone considers to be on the "small" side. But I'm like Glennda B. if any extra persons arrive somebody not eating! I'm giving the caterer a number and sticking to it.

Id consider that big. We originally planned 80, now the list is at 130 with 107 of those local and likely to go. So we have to create a B list to keep the guest list under 100, which is venue capacity.

Sitting right about 100. My daughter says that is huge to her. She wanted no more than 50.

A small group will be so much nicer, you will have more time to greet everyone.

I am having 26, 28 including us, I would say medium to large I think 100-125 in my area is average

I'd say that's pretty average, maybe more toward the smaller side. We are inviting around 135 I think... expecting around 100.

We want 60-85 but no more than 130 because thats our venue max i think its a decent wedding since our budget is 2500

I will be inviting 125 but and think that 115 will show. I have to pay for 100 regardless so I hope at least 100 show. In today's day in age I think that's a pretty average wedding. My mom thinks its small because she had 280 at hers. I could be at that number if I invited all her relatives but just can't afford it. Had to make cuts.
