8 days! Retainers and Braces.

So I had braces when I was 15 and got them off, and since I was moving to another region 2 hours away, the orthodontist put in a permanent retainer that was cemented to my teeth, it's been annoying just kind of pain in the butt to clean except when I go for a cleaning. Well anyway today my retainer that is 11 years old popped out! I went to walmart to find dental wax because they were open late, and they of course didn't have it because it's poking me. I am hoping I can get in touch with AN orthodontist who can remove this thing completely, AND make me new retainers that I just wear at night. Wish me luck. I REALLY need this fixed. What crazy thing has happened to you right before your wedding?

    Wow I’m so sorry that happened to you!! I have had acne since I was 11 and I’m even on bc and still have it. I’m convinced I’ll probably break out a day or two before my wedding. Lol.

    I have a permanent retainer and retainers that I have to wear at night. My permanent retainer came loose a couple years ago - my regular dentist was able to put it back on for me.

    The permanent retainer I had on my top teeth broke off right before my vacation in Feb. I went right back to the dentist (since I had invisalign through them) and they took the wire out and re-cemented the part that stayed attached. I'd call your dentist to have them take it out.

    Oh my goodness!

    Not too crazy...but I have long nails that are my own and I get a gel manicure every 2 weeks. Well here we are, 16 days before the wedding and I have managed to break off not one, but two of my nails! I am either going to have to cut them all short or get acrylics on the 2 that are broken. Ugh! So mad at myself!

    I have a permanent retainer and would never want one to take out otherwise I'd forget to wear it! I do remember how bad the wires on the braces hurt though, hope its not that bad, it left sores all over my mouth!
