6pm ceremony - wedding day schedule from start to finish?

Are you having hair and makeup professionally done? I would figure this out in these steps:

1. Hair and Makeup timeline

2. Photographer - how many hours do you have them for? How much of the reception vs. getting ready do you want photographed?

3. First look or no first look?

4. Distance between where you are getting ready, ceremony venue, and reception venue

Here is ours:

9:30am - Arrive at family homes to get ready (Two houses, 5 min from church)

10:00am - Hair/makeup teams arrive, should be done by 1:30

2:00pm - Photographer arrives as we are getting dressed

2:15pm - Photos of girls together and guys together (one photographer for each)

3:00pm - Travel down the road to where the guys are getting ready

3:15pm - First look, family portraits, bridal party portraits

4:15pm - Travel to church

4:30pm - Ceremony

5:15pm - Travel to reception venue

6:00pm - Cocktail hour

7:00pm - Entrance/first dance

7:15pm - Dinner served

10am: Makeup Begins (there are a LOT of us getting our makeup done)
Noon: Hair Begins
2:30pm: Photographer arrives for getting ready photos
3:30pm: Everyone gets dressed
4:00pm: Family & Party portraits
6:00pm: Ceremony
6:30pm: Cocktail hour
7:30pm-midnight: Dinner/dancing

11am- hair & makeup arrive

3pm- get dressed

3:30pm- leave for first look

3:45pm- arrive at venue

4-5pm: first look & couple's photos

5-5:30pm: family photos

5:30- guests start to arrive, go to bridal room to wait for ceremony

6pm- ceremony

6:15pm- cocktail hour starts while venue flips ceremony space to reception. we join cocktail hour

6:30pm- FH makes welcome toast. We go outside for sunset photos for like 10 minutes

7:15pm- dinner buffet opens. We aren't doing any other toasts, dances, etc. So the venue will just be open for guests to mingle

8pm- DJ switches to dance music if it seems like people are into it

8:30pm- cake & desserts available

9:45pm- last call.

10pm: done
