Just Said Yes June 2021

60 days out and I'm so stressed

Joules, on February 4, 2020 at 4:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
60 days out and I still can't find a dress.
Still haven't ordered invites because our invite list has double and I know that doesn't exactly mean the number attending has doubled but it's a good possibility. He's getting the tables and chairs from his work and I am now so sick of hearing myself ask him what size the tables are.
He has no concept that smaller tables means more flowers and candles and vases and the florist wants an answer to how many before she will give me a finalized quote. $800 for a porta potty are they kidding me!!!His brother is officiating our wedding and I just found out he's cheating on his gf with my best friend.I hate that there is more...what do you ladies do to unstress? Wine isn't working any more lol

I went to Pat's Formal wear. Or try David's Bridal

Take a deep breath and step away from the wine bottle. You have A LOT going on, so take a few minutes (like when writing here!) to feel all of those feelings! Now throw them out the window and lets get to work.

    Things you can do TODAY:

    1. Go online and ORDER INVITES for everyone on your guest list...Overnight those bad boys to your house (it's worth the shipping cost)

    2. Assuming your husband is working tomorrow morning....hand him a tape measure and a pen and tell him to go into work 15 minutes early tomorrow and measure the tables and get a count of tables/chairs

    3. Make an appointment at your nearest David's Bridal or equivalent store that will sell you a dress off the rack. Best case scenario, you can have an appointment for later this week/this weekend and will see where you stand as far as options. You can also shop around anywhere for a white dress that may not be as traditionally bridal but will still be beautiful

    4. Unless you have already shopped around and found a better quote, hit submit payment on the port-o-potties…..it seems like a silly expense until over half of your guests have left an hour into the reception because they've been holding their pee through the ceremony, cocktail hour, etc.

    5. Vent to FH about what a crappy thing it is that your FBIL cheated on his girlfriend, then forget about it - unless a breakup suddenly means he forgot how to read, he can still be your officiant if you so choose. You can feel free to tell your best friend that it was crappy of her to cheat with FBIL, but if we're in the mood of "de-stress" I would avoid this

    Things you can do TOMORROW:

    1. Go to the post office and pick up stamps. When your invites arrive, put a stamp on them and drop them off at the post office THAT DAY

    2. Call your FH before his lunch break to collect the table size/count he gathered this morning like you previously discussed...if he has forgotten, ask him to do it during his lunch break and call you after

    3. Once you get these numbers from your FH, call the florist and get the quote

Does this feel like a lot? Don't get me wrong it definitely is, but having an itemized checklist that you can do THIS WEEK means that by the weekend you'll be much better off in terms of wedding planning. Try and take it one thing at a time, and for all of the emotional extras, honestly it sounds harsh but you don't have to deal with any of the outside drama, so throw it on the back burner. Plan a fun dinner date with your FH this weekend to unwind after a week of progress Smiley smile Good luck!!!

I am so sorry with the stress. I would email invites and do am online rsvp are this stage. A little informal but oh well...money saver. Tomorrow get in a bridal store and this late no dresses that needs to be altered so based on you're body type choose a silhouette like a line that's flexible. Even look online like Azazzie. Call the husband during work and have him measure and give you the measurements on the phone. I did hope things get better.

You need to get on the invites and the dress. I would email out invites or buy them on Etsy and print them out ASAP. You need to find a dress too, if the need to order or alter it you need time.
