To me that short. Has anyone else had a shorter time period for hair and makeup?

Timeframe depends on your ceremony start time and number of stylists. Be sure to give them a time you need to be out of the salon by.

I'm sure if they know they have a party of 6 that needs to be done by X time then they'll have adequate staffing to get you all taken care of. Have you asked them about that?

We arent allowed at our venue until 1pm and the ceremony is at 5. So we're doing hair and makeup beforehand and getting dressed at the venue.

You should be fine depending on what time you do beforehand photos and the ceremony. I have 9 bridesmaids and we start makeup at 9:30 finishing around 2:30. Photos start at 3:30 pm and ceremony is at 6:30 pm. 6 of my bridesmaids are getting both hair and makeup and 3 are getting only hair done and we have 3 artists

Depends on how many HMUA you have and when your ceremony is. I had a 5:30pm ceremony. I did first look with husband, dad and bridesmaids and then immediate family and wedding party posed photos before the ceremony. Venue let us in at 2pm. It was over $600 per hour if I want to arrive at the venue earlier. We needed to start HMUA (1 makeup artist, one hair artist) for 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms and me at 8am, so I booked a suite at a hotel nearby with an extra fee for late checkout. It was kind of annoying to have to move locations, but that was really the most cost efficient way.

We are having a morning ceremony - begins at 11:00 am & photos are beforehand @ 9:30 am. We have 6x girls including me.

I spoke to the H&MU & the venue. We will have 2x H&MU at the venue, and the venue let us arrive early @ 6:30 am - they are not charging us extra. So it will basically be 1x girl per person per hour.

I'm not sure what time your ceremony is, but I am in the same situation. I have 6 bridesmaids, myself, and my mom who all planned to get hair and makeup done professionally.

My H&M artist stated that he would ideally need 1.5 hours/girl and 2 hours for me - given that we can't get to the venue until 10 am & have pictures around 2:30 that was not going to work. I have a very close relationship with him so he was willing to do whatever it took to get everyone done on time & look perfect, but it was stressing me out thinking about our time constraints.

Ultimately we've decided that my bridesmaids will get their hair done but will do their own makeup - which is saving me money and everyone is totally okay with this.
