5:45 ceremony???

Sophie, on October 19, 2015 at 5:07 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

I'm just wondering if it's too weird, or just bad etiquette to put 5:45 ceremony on my invitations? The reason would be because it's on a public beach, and it was still really crowded at 5:30. But waiting until 6 just seems a little late for pictures. The sun will set at 7:10. I don't expect it to be empty, but it was super crowded when we went to scope it out... Which way would you go?

    5:45 sounds good, don't think that's weird.

For starters, about 98% of weddings don't start on time. This is why most of our venues suggest the guests be invited a half hour before.

If you are TOTALLY sure you'll start at 5:45, then put that on the invites and stick to your guns and start, no matter who is there or not.

But be ready to start at 6:00 when you're waiting for guests. Most of them will assume that's when you're starting any way.
