Super October 2018

500 days away...what to focus on

When I logged on today my countdown was at 500 days. FH and I have figured out the budget, a preliminary guest list, and picked venues for me to look at when I go home in two weeks (we live in Alaska and the wedding is in my WI hometown). For those who had or have longer engagements, what were you working on this far out?

We started at 420 days. We focused on venue and photographer first.

Definitely book your venue ASAP. You can also start on your Pinterest/design board, so that you know your colors, wedding style/theme etc. since that will help you pick your other vendors and you can tell them what you want!

We also started around 500 days, and we booked a venue ASAP (there were NO Saturdays left at our preferred venue, and only two Fridays to choose from, so we should have booked even earlier). I also wanted to make sure that we had a photographer we were happy with early on in the planning.

I started with around 509 days and I got my venue, photographer, officiant and dj but then again I wanted to jump on everything sooner than later and get the big things done!
