Yeah that is about right. About $5 per slice is average. It depends on your area as well as the intricacy of cake design and fondant vs buttercream, etc.

We ordered a 3 tier buttercream cake (10 inches, 8 inches, 6 inches) with 70 servings. Total including delivery was ~$600.

Our baker was more expensive because she does everything from scratch. Plus she has a $500 minimum for all cakes during the peak wedding season.
