DJ -$80.00 but we’re breaking him off more as a thankyou and he doesn’t know Smiley smile he’s my FBIL!

Bridesmaids bouquets - $97 cents (Walmart) I’m using 6 flowers per bouquet so it’s $5.82 for each bouquet.

Photography/Videography - paid for by FFIL

Food- FFIL will be catering

Grooms-ring-$79.99 online at Kay Jewelers and over $500 in the store. Shop smart!! Lol.

Vase centerpieces - $36.00 (Dollar-tree)

Chair cover sash- $0.59 (CVLINENS) we’re buying 110 so $73.44 in total

Groomsmen bouts- $0.97 (Walmart flowers)

Bride Bouquet - $0.97 (walmart) I’m using 8 flowers and they are FULL $7.76 total

High back throne chair - $188.00

Sequin table cloth for bridal party table - $13.88 (amazon)

Sequin table cloth for cake - $14.86 (Amazon)

My dress was brought about two months ago and isn’t included in the budget but I paid $200 + 65 shipping for it from Preownedwessingdress.com and I’m in love with my dress. It was never worn and it was a sample dress.

Transportation - FFIL will be letting us borrow his 1949 Chevrolet fleet line.

My MOH rented a villa for us all so I will be getting dressed there and don’t need to book a hotel for the night before.

I sacrificed going inside a bridal store to say yes to my dress, I sacrificed buying real plates, silverware, I sacrificed real/silk flowers for my bouquet, DIYing the centerpieces. I was gonna buy Eiffel Tower vases that would have been $72 for 12, found the vases yesterday in dollar tree to DIY the reversible trumpet vase and spent $36 so I saved $36 bucks on centerpieces.

We came under budget at about $2,782.43 maybe FH can go out and buy new shoes or the rest can go toward our honey moon or just back in the bank to go towards our house. Honey moon budget isn’t included in this budget.

Hope this helps and congratulations and good luck to everyone planning they’re wedding Smiley smile

I will also attach a picture of our save the date postcard. The invitations will be in the same family.

Small budgets are fine, but hosting outside those means is not. 100 people for 3K? Not happening. 20-30, maybe. It's always encouraged to host the wedding that you can afford. Not everyone can host 100-250 people, and that's ok. But, trying to host a large number on a smaller budget, just isn't possible.

The problem with the post is not the budget itself, but that it's not a fully represented breakdown. There are several components missing.

I'm not even going to touch the friendors and self-catering.

Average dj for weddings -$500/600 (pretty sure you can find cheaper if you have patience to keep searching)

catering for 108 guests totally depends on the area and what you want. The average I will pay per person is $35-$40. So total probably $3,800

Favors depends on what you’re wanting. In my case it will be kisses candy from dollar tree. They are about 11 in a pack so $9-10 dollars.

Chair covers are $1.00 each to rent so $110

Photography/Videography packages run for about $500.

    Transportation $420 - $450

so if I paid for all these things including coming under budget at $2,783. In total our budget will be somewhere around 8k.

    Wow, I can't believe your photographer/videographer was only $500...!!!
I thought my photographer only package was a deal at $100 an hour. $931 total for 9 hours with 300 photos back.

My comment you replied to doesn't even have anything to do with this specific budget. It has to do with some people's attitude and tactless comments.

You saying "I'm not even going to touch the friendlies and self-catering" is one of them.

THIS. And usually the ones that are giving the same responses are the same ones that are pointing out when others violate CGs. Some of the responses I’ve seen on this post certainly do violate CGs.

My parents are paying for my entire wedding. It's $16,000. That means I could break down how to have a $16,000 wedding. I could not break down how to have a wedding on $0, because it's not costing $0. It's costing $16,000.

She broke down her budget and still added the extras when so many complained and there were still people responding back with sarcasm. It's the way people are responding.
