~30 days out! 😲🥳

Adrienne, on January 26, 2020 at 9:54 PM Posted in Community Conversations 2 9
Any suggestions from newlyweds on what to do to prep for the wedding with just about a month left? We have pretty much everything squared away or in the process of being completed. Just wanted to hear from people what they did 30 days before that definitely helped make a difference, or wished they had done before their wedding/honeymoon.

Thank you!

We’re Getting married the same day as you so no actual retrospective advice. I did book us massages and a nice dinner the weekend before the wedding though.

That's awesome! Our anniversary is the day before, so we're having our anniversary dinner together (alone) at our venue after rehearsal.

Haha! So I'm picking up my dress on Friday, I have all of my bridal accessories, I'm practicing my makeup on Saturday, getting my highlights fixed on the 8th, we have our favors done, ordered our cake/cupcakes. I'm going to practice my hair soon too. Having a small wedding so my mom and best friend are helping me look my best. We have our photographer and officiant booked, groom's attire is done, florist is booked. Reception and ceremony decor is squared away. I might go get my nails done the day before, but I'm always chipping them so I think why even bother. Might just do a clear coat... I think the only thing I really need to do is make sure my veil isn't wrinkled. Which is hard to do at home since we already live together.

I like how we all have dogs in our profile pics! 🐾 Mine is a 2 year old Australian Kelpie that we adopted in April. Her name is Mayzie. ~30 days out! 😲🥳 1

Make lists! Prepare for everything. Does the DOC need to know where specific decor goes? What do you need to pack for your wedding & honeymoon? Also, both of you, HYDRATE. Hydrate your skin & hair & nails & lips, and drink a ton of water. You'll be happy on your wedding day.

Good call on the hydrate! Our wedding is super small, so we don't have much to bring for decor. Just place cards and flowers for the table. I should probably print out the seating chart. 😉

I'm starting it too. Making sure I moisturize my face every night, and drinking lots of water. I'm also doing some more exercise during the day and resistance work to tone up.
