30 days and feeling overwhelmed!

Cassi, on September 12, 2019 at 12:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 26

Hey Guys!

I am 30 days out!!! (so excited!!!!!!!!) but less than 4 weeks till we actually leave (destination wedding). 26 days to be exact till we actually pack the car and head up to TN. a few weeks back I started working a second job part time to make some extra cash and its been great. i love it, but I feel so overwhelmed I have so much left I still need to do. I'm also slightly freaking out because I'm so anxious I will forget something when packing. I have made lists on lists on lists and uhg... my anxiety is through the roof!

Projects that still need to be done:

Favors

guestbook

timelines

seating chart

arbor decorations

place cards

centerpieces (I have everything just haven't started actually putting together)

getting my marriage license

emergency kits for day of

last minute decorations

corsages (I have the flowers and everything done just no idea how I want them arranged (drop your sola wood corsages so I can see what everyone else did for these)

I have to get new wedding shoes because the ones I ordered they sent in the wrong size and don't have my size in stock so back to the drawing board

a few misc. decorations

robes for my girls ( i made these but I'm not done yet)

Oof.... I got this.... I think... lol

side note drop all your countdowns, DIY projects and pretty much anything else to give me the inspiration to get this stuff done. I was on such a roll until I started the second job! lol

We have final payments due as well (which is one of the most stressful things!) and we have over half of our guest list that still hasn't responded. I really am so ready to be done with all of this planning! I want to enjoy the day and then the honeymoon! LOL Smiley smile

We're 30 days out also and I feel the same. I still need to finalize all the details with the vendors and we've only received about half of our RSVPs as well (they're due in two days!). We need to finish our decorations and pick out flowers for bouquets and get bridal party gifts. I'm definitely ready to be done with the stress and just relax and enjoy!

Same date! I have mostly everything left that you do. I got my guestbook already. Have to put together the one favor with my mom and sister's help, and buy the other favor, make seating chart, make signs (already stained just need to figure out the cricut), print out any signs that will go in frames, print out pics of us and dogs for decor, organize centerpieces and test out the flowers and rocks for the floating candle centerpieces, dog outfits (one to buy one to make), timeline, rings, marriage license, emergency kit and bathroom basket, buy a veil on amazon, buy material to drape over arbor, buy handfasting cords, and one more gift for my bridesmaids. Oh and tuxes but that's not really my timeline. FH also has to actually make our arbor still. We are going to Vegas this weekend but after that it's truly crunch time. I have to just get motivated to get to the store and buy everything else needed then start mocking up centerpieces and finishing the signs! I just have to get up off the couch. I always just want to relax after work but I can't any longer! Must get going haha I can't leave it all til weekends. RSVP deadline next week ughhh On top of it conveniently my stint of being able to do nothing at work is over next week as I have a report to do. So now I'll have less time to online shop at work haha

30 days and all of a sudden we both completely freaked out today. We are going to revisit and update our list tonight.

We ordered the last of the decorations which should be here tomorrow.

I am STILL waiting for our cake topper which was ordered over a month ago!!!

We need to pick up the last of the wine and beer and the makings of our signature drink.

My dress should be done Sunday so I can get it to be pressed.

We still need shirts for my FW and both best men!!!!

She has to pick a reading and ask the back-up person because her first and second choice can't or won't.

We do have the ceremony script, timeline, and vows done so YAY!!!

I finally figured out what I think I want to do with my hair so that's a relief.

I may skip my camping trip to take care of any last minute details even though I really could use a weekend in the woods.

I know it feels impossible but we got this!!!!

I was leaving it for weekends because by the time I get off work its 5 then gym its 7 and I'm a mom so theres homework and dinner and I have been saving for weekends too but now being back in the bar I work at least two days on the weekend so I just need to grind time it. I plan on finishing my bouquets tonight (only 2 left)

We really need to check a few more things off the list if I'm even going to consider going away for the weekend. I think she's afraid I will get out there and lose my mind stressing about the wedding. I just want to get out there and forget wedding planning for a day or two.

I loved seeing your bachelorette weekend pics. Maybe I can consider the weekend my bachelorette get-away.

All this planning for something that we won't remember if we wear ourselves out now. The irony!!!!

You have quite the DIY list. You must be super crafty. I can barely use a hot glue gun! 49 days out here.

Things I still need to do (some have to wait until closer)

    -PLAN THE CEREMONY!

    -obtain marriage license

    -seating chart

    -place cards

    - day of timeline

    -plan ceremony

    -find outfit for ring bearer

    -finalize with vendors

    -photography list

    -day of kit

-MAKE SUB PLANS BECAUSE I AM A TEACHER AND SOMEHOW MY FH CONVINCED ME TO GET MARRIED DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR!!!!!

My FH just sat down yesterday (over beers) and planned out all the rest of our to dos. We wrote on calenders, going through categories and then each wedding weekend day to remember what else we needed to do.

We also have a Google Sheet with many tabs including contact information (that I will be giving to others), packing list, buy list, and much more.

Step back, reorganize and get to work! Make it fun and get it done Smiley smile

30 days for me as well! Today I’ve been chasing down my rsvps (today was the deadline). Next I’m working on the seating chart. Realized I forgot to order favors. Need to book transportation home from the wedding still. Honestly, my biggest stressor is the missing rsvps. I lost so much sleep because of it last night, and I’m sure tonight won’t be much better lol.

Maybe we're date twins... 29 days left!

I COMPLETELY understand your pain. I haven't started a new job but my job just went live this week with a new charting system, and now, one note that used to take 2-3hrs takes 8-12hrs! Ahhhhhhh pulling my hair out!

    Upcoming apts left:
    Decorator
    Photographer
    Officiant
    Seamstress x 2
    Caterer

    DIYs to start/finish:
    Dance floor- this weekends project
    Grooms Sola Wood Boutonniere
    Gift baskets for my girls
    Centerpieces (they're about half done)
The fabric partition so groom can't see me until I walk down the aisle

    Other Misc
    GET MARRIAGE LICENSE
    Buy new acrynolin
    Buy new shoes for me
    Wedding day timeline
    Shirt for Groom and groomsmen
Write letter for our wine box ceremony
    Buy alcohol for bar
    Buy other drinks & mixers

I know there is WAY more but this is all I can think of.

8 days left for me and the stress and nerves are really setting in. Around my 30 day mark, I gave all my tasks deadlines which really helped me stay focused! Try not to stress too much and be sure to take at least one day where you dont do any planning and just relax!

Girl yes! my RSVPs are due on monday and I'm still missing about 45 lol -_- people drive me nuts lol. I have to get final numbers to caterer on 24th so at least I have 9 days from RSVP deadline to catering deadline to get that done. I plan on just messaging everyone on like facebook and what not this weekend! nip it in the butt and be done with it. I also had to deal with people adding last minute plus 1s lol
