We live in VA but getting married in NC so we took a trip down there this past Monday to get our marriage license, that was a big one done! I am now working on the final little things like the end of the stationary orders, finalizing guest list, signs for bar and sanitation station, etc. I have my 3rd fitting today for my wedding and reception dresses (I'll update with pics) this afternoon.

Our reception venue has a large outdoor veranda and we rented two heating lamps so we hope that will help spread things out and keep guests warm enough when they are outside. It is currently in the 60's in our location and historically for that time of year they average 50's to 60's for temps during the day, I'm sure it will be a beautiful day for y'all as well and will keep my fingers crossed for good weather for everyone!

Yes!! All the planning is almost over lol We have been engaged since 2018 and postponed from June to December, we are ready!! Good luck and prayers for you too!!

Reading everyone's responses has helped me get even more excited for our big days!! We have our final payment due on 11/25 but it keeps getting cheaper as our guest list continues to shrink lol

We live in NOVA also!!! We chose to get married in NC back in 2019 as it was so much cheaper for all the vendors there versus here in this crazy area! Plus we are not from here originally so travel would be involved wherever we had this wedding. Good luck with June!!

I am bad at planning weddings, my family and friends have been helping a lot.. that's a very good idea to have a stationary table though, i will have to look into that as well.

Hi! No matter what our 12.12.2020 wedding is happening!

Yessss! My wedding is December 12th! Because of Covid I’m worried that some guests won’t come. Are you doing anything for your guests Covid related or just not gonna worry about it?? I’m wondering if i should have groups six feet apart or something like that

Oh yes we are taking many precautions for our guests. Each guest will receive 2 masks and their own bottle of hand sanitizer. We will be taking temperatures at the door and requesting all guests to get a Covid Rapid test prior to coming. The ceremony will be masks required except for FH and myself, I have the masks that match my Bridal party dresses from David's already. We will have wedding party sitting in the front row to avoid crowding. Our reception venue is HUGE and holds over 200 seated for a dinner, we are having between 55-60 guests so we will have plenty of space for social distancing plus we have an outdoor veranda with heaters just off the reception room.

Congrats! 30 days for us too! 100 guest down to 35😊 outdoor historic chapel and courtyard ceremony & reception. We went with a classic black and white with hints of champagne for our colors with a little Christmas decor thrown in, should be awesome! We're in Florida so weather should be perfect ☀️

That will be so pretty!! My BM's are wearing DB long satin dresses in Wine and my MOH and JBM will be wearing the same DB long satin (JBM is chiffon) dresses in Gem (hunter green). The guys will be wearing black tuxes with black bow ties and my Man of Honor will wear black tux with Gem bowtie to match my MOH and JBM.

I bought these scarves/shawls for my girls to wear with their dresses. I’m so excited to give them to them!!

Yaaayyy 12/12 wedding date! So nervous yet so excited. I'm doing a small 25 people in my backyard due to Covid.

I am extremely excited!!! My guest list is half of what I was expecting but I will still have a decent number of guests. I pick up my dress from alterations in 2 weeks and I just got my groom his suit.


The final countdown begins!!!
