3 hr reception?

Is 3 hrs too short for a wedding reception? We’re doing a morning wedding and our venue is only available 9-2 so we’re doing the ceremony at 10 but that leaves about 3 hrs for the reception which is what most people will be coming to.
The only thing I can think of is getting ready at the hotel before and forfeiting the beautiful bridal room to get ready in and start the reception at 10 instead of 11
Here’s my rough draft timeline:
Me: do hair at hotel 8amFiancé: get makeup done at hotel 8am
Get to venue 9amMe: makeup 9 am Fiancé: hair 9am
Ceremony 10Photos 1030Guests arrive for reception 11Brunch 12Toasts 12:30Cake 1Leave 2

    That's about how long the brunch reception I attended last fall was and it was a great length

    Definitely makes sense for a brunch reception? Since this isn't an instance where you're looking to dance the night away, 3 hours sounds perfect!

    I wish my venue would hold mine for 3 hours. We have the reception for 4 hours. No music, no dancing. I feel like 4 hours is too much lol. So i thing 3 hours is great!

    Sounds fine. Morning and cake receptions are usually on the shorter side and people are fine with it.
