3 different kinds of centerpieces for wedding reception?

Lindsay, on December 20, 2018 at 11:30 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

I will have about 17 tables, and I was thinking of doing some tall flower centerpieces, some short flower centerpieces, and some candle arrangements. Do you think having 3 different centerpieces is too many?

Hi Lindsay! Welcome to WeddingWire! I do not think that is too many at all! I think as long as they look cohesive and have similar colors/styles, they will look great! What types of centerpieces did you have in mind?

I had three different types - it really allowed for some interest. I had wreaths with hurricane and a pillar, low arrangements in compotes, and little collections of bud vases. All of the above had votives everywhere! No pics yet (wedding was on 12/1) but I thought it was so pretty !

I don't think so! We are going to do 2 or 3. One short, one tall, and I was thinking one without flowers at all, more wood & candles than flowers?

We are having two centerpieces, about 10 of each! One will be a tall candelabra with greens and roses wrapping up the stem and sitting on a round mirror, and the other will be a short candelabra with hanging crystals and a greens and roses wreath at the base. We’ll have votive candles in crystal holders on all tables.

I think three will look great, especially if there’s some aspect tying them all together!

I think 3 different centerpieces give a uniqueness to your wedding reception. I love the idea! Our centerpieces are going to be different too!

Do you think it looks cohesive enough if there is eucalyptus and gold votives in all three centerpieces? The tall centerpiece will be white hydrangea, white roses and eucalyptus. The short centerpieces will be hydrangeas (undecided on white or blue- wedding colors are light blue and gold), white roses, and eucalyptus. For the candle centerpiece, I'm not totally sure but I was thinking of having 3 level floating candles with eucalyptus around the base. A florist recommended to me having mercury gold votives surrounding the centerpieces.

Also looking for opinions on white vs light blue in short centerpiece. The only other light blue I've really incorporated into the reception is the napkins. Tablecloths will be white. Accents of gold throughout.

Thanks for all the opinions so far!!

I think itll be a great idea if they all have similarities. Like same flowers.

Oh, I certainly think this is cohesive enough and sounds gorgeous! I think the color of the hydrangeas is personal preference - if it were me, though, I'd choose either white or blue for both the tall and short centerpieces!
