24 Person Bridal Party! (yes, we are THOSE people). How to arrange for ceremony?!

Yes, we have 12 Bridesmaids and 12 Groomsmen. I know, I know it's obnoxious but, what's done is done, hah. Any suggestions on how to arrange all of them for the ceremony. I'd rather not do one long line in both directions but, we are set on having them all up there with us.Ceremony is at a big open...

Any suggestions on how to arrange all of them for the ceremony. I'd rather not do one long line in both directions but, we are set on having them all up there with us.Ceremony is at a big open outdoor garden space under some oak trees.

Should I rent a short stage and have two tiers of standing? Or is that tacky? Or should I arrange one row standing, one sitting? I feel like the sitting bridesmaids would not be happy :/

I'd love to see any pics of examples, if you have been to such a wedding. Thanks in advance!

    I don't think I could handle that at all! It's hard enough with our 11 person wedding party! May the odds be ever in your favor OP.

    Could you have two lines of 6 on each side? Have the tall ones stand directly behind the short ones so everyone's faces are showing.

    My cousin had a similarly large bridal party back in '02. They did one line on each side and it looked good that way.

    Tangent, but I'm surprised people are so taken aback by a BP of this size. In my area/social circle, I'd say the norm is between 6-8 attendants each, so 12 is definitely larger than normal but it happens often enough. I've been to three weddings with BPs of 20 or larger, and both mine and a friend's will be 20 this summer. Wonder if this is a regional/cultural thing? What is the "norm" in your opinion?

    IMHO, anything over 5 per side looks like too many and junior bridesmaids are ridiculous. We're most likely having no BP or 1 per side.

    I'd feel really special if I was one of 12.

    Have them sit except for MOH and BM...unless you have five of each.

    And let your venue know because your processional/recessional is going to take forever.

    We have a large bridal party too. 6 on my side and 8 on his, not as big as yours though! I think if its possible do a stage and have half on the stage and then the second half on the ground level.

    I see NOTHING obnoxious with the fact that you have more friends than most people, including myself. I, however, don't take it personally like some do.

    I don't see at all why you would need to do anything different.

    I was just in a wedding with 13 on each side, and it looked beautiful.

    And hey, maybe OP just realized it's kind of nice to be surrounded by love, light, laughter and support, and she's blessed to have a lot of that in her life.

    Better than being cranky about not feeling special enough, when you could be happy your friend/relative has so many wonderful people in her life.

    I have 6 on my side and 6 on my fiancee side so a bridal party of 12...I'm doing my wedding in a mansion so I will be able to fit everyone nicely
