So who is getting married in 2021? Is it just me or am I the only one already contacting venues, cake, photographers, etc? I already have our venue chosen, just have to get the deposit in and the same with DJ and photographer? I feel like I am going too fast lol. I'm practicing my makeup look and...

I'm practicing my makeup look and looking at hair styles and I already have a dress I love. Please tell me I am not the only one haha

I am stressed a little bit but trying not to overstress haha. Now that my fiance wants to have a cheaper wedding I am more stressed because now I have to decorate the pavilion at the park and make sure we have enough of everything. Supply plates and silverware and table clothes and centerpieces haha. I am stressing a little... trying to keep it under 4 grand too is hard....

Ours is March 2021. I have already booked my photographer and the nice thing about that one is I get to do monthly payments. So no shelling out the entire payment. But cake and most venues will not let me book a date until next year. The dress I already have an appointment for!

I have to wait until one year out to book our venue and our back up venues. The only venue that could book now for 2021 would be a hotel or a venue that specifically does weddings.

Almost all of the weddings in my family and my FH’s family have been at a park. 😊

I don’t want to spend more than $5000. Originally we were going to have a more expensive wedding but I would rather put more money into our house than a wedding so we decided to try and keep it to a max of $5K. It will be nice to plan with other brides working with the same budgets.

The theme is super rustic, lots of galvanized metal, white, baby breath, etc..

No more than one year out; really 9 months is plenty. So summer of 2020. Please please wait to ask bridesmaids and wait until 6-8 months to try out and pick out BM dresses. There are lots of forums/posts on here about asking too early. Friendships change, bodies changes, budgets change, styles change. And expectations: you have over 2 years until your wedding, if you ask folks now, you'll want to plan to stuff (dress, hair, makeup, shoes). And that may drive them nuts and lead to people not responding, which will make you upset. Even if you want to give everyone more time to save for dress/travel etc., people have difficulty planning and saving too far in advance. Most likely, they spend the money they saved on something else, and you're in the same position six months later. No one has ever complained on here about asking BMs too late.

🙋‍♀️ my Fiance and I are getting married in December of 2021 and we've already started contacting vendors. We also created a guest list and set a budget 🙂 I am hoping it will be less stress as it gets closer to the wedding date!

Hey guys! I am getting married May 30, 2021, so about two years and three months from now. My wedding is on the Sunday of Memorial weekend, though, and since that is a holiday and a popular travel weekend, I’m not sure when I should get the wedding on my bridal party’s radar, and I also don’t know how far in advance to send out save the dates to guests! I know typical timelines are usually altered for holiday weekends....What do you guys think?

Getting married at the end of 2020 and I’m on the same boat. It’s such an exciting time, and expensive so I want to get everything squared away so there’s no surprises with additional fees or lack of availability! Do what works best for you, you’ll probably be so relaxed coming up to the big day.

I got engaged in Dec 12, 2018 and we are planning to get married in 2021. Mostly due to funds and my Fiance getting laid off right after our engagement.

I am planning already because I have a small savings built up to book the venue as soon as possible to I can guarantee our date and work on paying it like a bill. As we are not receiving financial assistance from any family members, everything is coming out of our pocket and we have to plan accordingly.

I am already touring venues and looking at dresses/themes and vendors for the best deals. Additionally, We have about 50% of the guests coming out of state so the sooner we book the venue the earlier we can announce our date and allow our guests to plan.

You totally arent the only one!

Congrats and happy wishes for your wonderful life together!

I've finally gotten to that point of breaking down and realizing I need to step away from the planning for a while. It's f$#king consuming!

I am a 2021 bride as well, mainly so we have more time to save money! The only things I have started doing is a guest list and try to secure my venue and caterer. I feel as if those are the big three things and then I am going to go from there. I really want to have a budget set and stone before anything else. I love finding deals and clearance items so the longer to my wedding, the more time I get to look for those DIY Deals! Happy Planning Smiley smile
