Feeling pretty lost— like I’m sure a lot of you 2020 brides have felt. We got a call Friday that our venue would not be having anymore weddings in 2020 due to Washington state's latest restrictions on ALL receptions. Our original date was November 21 and I had never thought COVID would affect our wedding. But now, we find ourselves without a venue and with state “laws” that don’t have an end date. Thankfully our venue has offered a full refund but some of my other vendors are not being so generous.
I feel totally at a loss, shocked and hopeless.
We don’t want to postpone until next year because we are ready to be married. But the thought of not getting a “ real wedding” with everything we imagined; friends, family and dancing seems really sad to us. We are thinking about moving the wedding to another state but that’s a lot to ask of people to travel. As I’m sure all of you fellow brides who have had to make changes and adjustments to your “ dream day” my heart is broken and I feel like I am grieving!! 4 months away seems so early to cancel. Any ideas ???
