2019 - how was yours?

Our 2019 was definitely insane (in a good way) - the bulk of the wedding planning happened then, along with the actual wedding, which feels like it was very far away. 2x weeks after our wedding, we put an offer on a house - which was accepted, on December 6th we officially settled, and moved in on...

Our 2019 was definitely insane (in a good way) - the bulk of the wedding planning happened then, along with the actual wedding, which feels like it was very far away. 2x weeks after our wedding, we put an offer on a house - which was accepted, on December 6th we officially settled, and moved in on December 8th. The past 9 days has been super hectic as we have been unpacking & settling in. Couple that with that we are somehow hosting our first holiday at hour brand new house (this weekend), plus doing holiday obligations, then FINALLY leaving on our honeymoon on Christmas morning... and my husband is working 6 days a week (seasonal) we are truly exhausted people. Both my husband & I agree that this was one epic year, and we are both very much looking forward to a much more relaxing 2020 (including tackling some home improvement stuff).

How was your 2019? Did the final year of the decade go out w/ a bang?

That's such a funny story lol. I think since being with my fh, i have had 2 procedures. One was to fix my broken nose and the other was an Upper Endoscopy. I felt it was too soon to ask him to accompany me to something like that. Well i wish he would've taken me. My mom had no idea what the nurse told her. But with endoscopy, my fh was on top of everything. When i finally woke up, he told me what the nurse told him for post care. When i read the paperwork, everything he said was on the paper. But with the nose, he couldn't even work right cause he was worry about me. Until i texted him (all drowsy) he was able to relax.

Oh my. 2019 has definitely been a long, hard year. My youngest moved with my grandbaby to Colorado (we're in Missouri) in February. Broke my heart because we're super close. We traveled several times to see them. We went on family vacation in June for 2 weeks in Florida, then came home to find out his truck was broke down (he drives OTR) and he had to be home for another week with no money coming in. In August, my brother was in a motorcycle accident. He has a DAI brain injury and is now paralyzed and will have to live in a nursing home for the rest of his life. In October my mom got a compression fracture in her lumbar vertebrae, and was in the hospital then rehab for almost 2 months, and is now having to go back because she's in too much pain to care for herself and then she's going into a nursing home. One bright spot is that my youngest and my grandbaby moved back in October and are now living with me. It's been a long year and I'm ready for it to be over.

I was in my grad final. and things were really jolly. For me 2019 was a year of separation, though…i got myself separated from my friends..my regular rhythm but my loved ones stayed firm with me. The year went as a great one. I faced failures, rejections but also had tasted triumph and goal achievements.

Aww congrats to you & the hubby!!

My 2019 was ROUGH lol. My job of over 5 years relocated the corporate office and I wasn't willing to move out of state to follow them so I found myself in search of a job. First new job my boss was a physco (looooong story), second new job paid me less then promised and with saving for a wedding I NEEDED a better job, luckily third times the charm & I'm at an agency that I LOVE!! But within all of that lots of crazy family drama - like my mom disappearing for 4 months then reappearing with a fiance (I feel like my life is a soap opera sometimes lol) & just so much more.
More wedding related we knocked out A TON of our planning & with needed to be even more frugal found more ways to save money on the big day (:
Our wedding is in roughly 4 months and I CANNOT WAIT! In 2020 we are looking forward to FINALLY saying "I Do!", paying off the dang wedding (lol), traveling more, & enjoying having money again lol.

We did the bulk of our wedding planning in 2019, picked date and venue, almost all of our vendors, bridal party, everything. I really cannot believe 2019 is coming to a close already. Work has taken me to many amazing places including the Caribbean, South America and Mexico. Personal travel life has included a family cruise, Wine country in Sedona, beach time in Cancun and girls trip to Budapest. Several of our friends and family got engaged in 2019 as well. Overall 2019 was a great year and we look forward to 2020 for our wedding, our travels (honeymoon and more), and the memories we will make together!! FH will be working on NYE but I will be home enjoying a roaring 20's evening with friends so here's to a happy 2020 everyone!!
