I'm getting married in March 2019. I have my venue, photographer, DJ, and caterer. I'm just trying to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible. Smiley smile

We're getting married in June 2019 and we have the venue, photographer and DJ booked. Our engagement photos are in June. I'm close to signing contracts for a day-of coordinator, caterer and bartender.

It's so far away, but I've always been a "planner" and I feel the need to get things booked and out of the way, especially the specific vendors we wanted! Plus getting married on a Saturday in June is apparently popular, so I'm relieved to have things taken care of Smiley smile

I think an earlier wedding for us definitely could have been done logistically, but it's such a fun time to enjoy being engaged Smiley smile I totally agree with no rush!

I check Wedding Vibe a lot. David’s Bridal often has giveaways. Also, check out a few of your local vendors (photographers, videographers, venues, etc). They usually are giving away something: engagement shoot, free short film, discount in venue (especially around the holidays).

    I also googled Wedding Sweepstakes/Giveaways

So, the wedding was moved to June 2019. We booked our venue (which graciously includes catering, decorations, and a day of coordinator). Of course, I plan to do my own decorations but it’s good to have a back up in case money gets tight.

This month, we’re planning to book the photographer and videographer (I read that many couples regret not hiring a videographer). I’ll wait a little while before booking the DJ, Cake and Officiant. We went with a Thursday wedding so we’re not running into any issues with booking vendors yet.

I’m going to DIY all decorations and my invites. However, I want it to be classy and not look like a DIY. The venue is really gorgeous with chandeliers and glass all around, so it’ll be nice no matter the decor (at least I hope so).

I've been engaged for a little over a month and am in the DC area. Trying to find a suitable venue that isn't booked for next September, isn't too far from Georgetown and isn't outrageously priced. Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm all ears!

My date is 8/24/19! Venue, photographer and DJ are all booked. Looking into catering (bbq buffet) and gathering inspiration for flowers currently (diy, probably from fiftyflowers.com). I’ve picked my girls, and am *mildly* hounding FH to finish picking his guys! Lol. I just ordered all of my paper (STD, invites), thanks to the big Vista print sale! E pics are also done! Next step is finding dresses for my girls and I! I will be hosting a try on party from Azazie for all of them next month, which I’m super excited about!
