20 weeks to go...advice on to do list!

I didn’t check until closer to the wedding but for sure have an inventory list of what you need and then check you have those items

What's on your list so far?

I've spent the last few months going through the calendar to make sure I have payment reminders, deadlines, etc. in there -- including reminders to schedule appointments for things like nails and brows, our marriage license, and so forth (all of which is set at this point, of course!).

Did you already do your tasting, fittings/alterations, trials, etc.? Do you have your invites picked out?

I have been buying stuff like mad over the last couple of months -- gifts for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, and decorations (didn't plan on being so last-minute with this, but I didn't want to buy anything before we finalized our COVID decision).

I recently picked up a purse for the day, some extra lip gloss, and have been working on day-of lists for a while: what to put in an emergency kit, the main things I need for the day, that sort of thing.

Invitations are already put together and enveloped! They're scheduled to mail the day after Thanksgiving. I still need to buy the stuff u want to put in gift bags for all the under 12s who are coming, but I'm waiting til we have RSVPs to buy that stuff. I have the MiL, bridal party, and FH gifts already but need to wrap them. I've finished writing my vows and FH wants to read eachother's next weekend lol he is afraid he won't put enough in there and I'll be disappointed or something 😅


I made the centerpieces, but have to put the ribbon wand little sayings on the sticks and put them in a vase. I'm waiting for headcount to finish the seating chart...it was going to be open seating, but that's another thing Covid changed 😒

So exciting! Closer to my minimony I came up with a day of list so I won’t forget anything. As for my big wedding I’m waiting until we’re closer

Sounds like you're on the ball!

I'm in the same boat with you on the seating chart. We were already planning on assigning tables for dinner, but I'm doing assigned ceremony groups as well. Working with a local print shop on that - that's one of my to-dos for this week actually! (Already had a meeting with them and picked out paper and everything, just sending over the details.)

Our ceremony is on the other side of the state and we're flying out for our honeymoon the morning after from there, too, so ill have to remember everything for the ceremony and the honeymoon lol ill probably be adding to this list until the day of 🤣

I'm not nearly as organized with it, but we're only having our immediate family and very best friend (each) at the wedding so hopefully it's going to be easy to put together. I just have zero patience, so waiting to send invitations and then receive rsvps is kind of making me crazy. Im doing a mock up that I can alter later 😉

I made my own wedding checklist, and recently went through it, then made a checklist for my checklists and then an appendix for those checklists. LOL... This is our final "getting ready" week before the wedding. We leave a week from tomorrow. Like you, I feel like we're forgetting things, but honestly, I think we're good. Made all our final payments this past weekend, and I packed my suitcases. Only thing left is to pack the car and the last minute things (hair / makeup that I use daily and will have to go into our bags). Trust you're on it.

Wait. When I first read “20 weeks to go” in my head I was like oh she’s way closer to her wedding day than I am. But we are just 4 weeks behind you! I guess I better take note of all these suggestions too!
