20 days!!!

Jessica, on February 8, 2020 at 8:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

The day's almost here! I was feeling the stress for a couple of weeks but things are starting to smooth themselves out and I've been able to check off quite a few things within the last week. Honestly, at this point I'm just ready for the day to be here so I can be done making decisions. I've had a few moments of wishing we had just eloped like FH wanted but I know when the day comes I will be glad I had my family there.

Projects I have left: seating chart, slideshow, mock up centerpieces one more time, globe guest book, finish photo backdrop and figure out which flowers to use since I'm doing them myself

For any of you ladies getting married within the next month, how are you feeling? Are you stressed or finally feeling like things are coming together? How many projects or decisions do you have left?

That’s so exciting! I remember starting like 2-3 weeks before my wedding I was sleeping so horribly just because I felt like I was jittery and anxious all the time 😭😂 but like I barely felt tired because I had so much adrenaline.

The week before I started feeling like all the stress was amplified. I was getting so upset about dumb things like the arrangement of tables, and I am generally soooo not the type of person to care about that kind of stuff, so I knew my emotions were just running high from being so close to the wedding.

I got myself through our wedding weekend by repeating to myself “I am calm, I am confident, I am fortunate, I am not responsible for anyone but myself, I choose peace.” (Also telling my MOH and making her repeat that to me whenever she could see me starting to get super anxious lol.)

Try to enjoy the excitement of the next few weeks! It’s going to go by so fast!

I'm getting married on leap Day, the 29th. I can't BELIEVE it's right around the corner after so much planning!

Still have to write my vows and give vendors their final payment. I had a dress fitting today and my final fitting next week!

Getting married on the 28! I’m excited because I’ve been planning this for what seems years, but I’m also sad cause my grandfather passed 4 days ago. Everyone keeps telling me to keep busy and to move forward because that’s the only way to move.

I have my final fitting in a week, I need to write my vows, buy a travel-steamer. I need to send final payments!!! I need to make sure my shoes don’t catch on my dress when I walk, I need to spend tomorrow putting hot glue on the clasps. It feels like I have a lot to do, but it’s a lot of minor things. Oh and now I want to buy a mini picture frame to hold with my bouquet.

I’m getting married on the 21st! I bought all my last minute things this week and feel much better even though I spent way to much money. My dress fittings haven’t been going well so I’m hoping when i go back Thursday it fits and is over with that’s probably my biggest stress right now. The week of the wedding is so busy between hair color nail appts spray tans all the things plus mine and my mothers birthday! I’m excited all the planning will be over soon but then I’m also sad it’s going be over and go by so quickly!

I thought by now I would be the same way (I'm usually a light sleeper and have trouble falling asleep, especially when I need to get up super early) but with a huge work event the week before the wedding on top of wedding planning I have been so exhausted that I fall asleep almost as soon as my head hits the pillow and I have trouble getting up in the morning.

That's a great mantra and it's great that you had someone that could echo it when you needed it most.

Thank you! I'm really trying to Smiley laugh

Hi date twin! I'm sorry to hear about your gandfather, lossing a loved one is never easy but I love the idea of adding a picture to your bouquet!

Isn't it funny how each individual project seems super easy but when you list them it seems like so much?

I hope your fitting goes better this next time around. Wow, sounds like a super busy week... happy birthday!

I know what you mean, all this work and while it will be nice to be done making decisions it will also be weird not having to think about it anymore. How long have you been planning?

We were originally going to be married in May but I had to change the date for school. I wanted a fall wedding but he said "wait you're not going to make me wait LONGER to marry you!" So I saw that badass date come up, New venue was available, and so that's that!

My guy did the same thing according to him it was the sooner the better.... he had no idea the amount of planning goes into a wedding.

That's great that you found a venue that still had that date available.
