2 year old ring bearer ideas?

Danielle, on February 25, 2020 at 4:14 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7

Hi ladies! Were getting married June 21 and I'm planning on having my son be the ring bearer and my daughter the flower girl.. The main issue is the wedding is about 2 months before my son's second birthday and he is in no way trusted to actually carry the rings down the aisle lol. The only alternatives I've really seen are A: pull em in a wagon, or B: have them walk down the aisle with a sign... Are there other alternatives that I'm missing? I unfortunately can't do the wagon because our wedding is outside and there are some rock steps you have to go down.. Just wouldn't be possible. And I find the "here comes mommy" or "ladies im single" signs horribly tacky and repulsive lol! What would you do?

I'm not giving rings to a 4 and 6year old either.
I found a sign that says I'm here for the cake. And one that says hurry up, I want cake. I'm getting one of those and looking for another one I like.

He can carry an empty ring box or a pillow with fake rings attached.

Now THOSE signs are comical! I did see one just now that said "They dont trust me with the rings" and i thought that one was funny too

Super with you on the signs.

One other alternative would be to have him carried down by an adult holding the rings (maybe a parent or an aunt/uncle or something you'd like to include in some way). Other than that, I agree with PPs on a fake ring box.

Daughter's RBs were older (6 & 10) and she didn't trust them with the rings. She just had each RB walk with a FG, holding hands (they were siblings). The girls had small bouquets -- no petal throwing, either. The BM actually carried the rings. (I also find the signs completely cringe-worthy.)
