So I've been reading a lot of bad press about 2 Step Entertainment and I have already booked and paid them in for my 10/19/19 wedding. Both his personal and business facebook pages have been shut down. I've reached out to him via email and he tells me not to worry that he "just had a health emergency". Well I am worried and I requested to cancel services and have payment refunded (twice now). Now he appears to be ghosting me.

Who out there has dealt with this, has it been with him and did you handled it. I'm stressed enough being less then 55 days out from our wedding.

A forum probably isn't the best place to find others who have dealt with a specific vendor. Maybe you could reach out to people who have left reviews on his social media.

Ugh.. I would probably start contacting other vendors..a quick Google search shows this review from a few weeks ago. Do you have any local Facebook wedding pages? Post the situation.. I always see DJs posting about getting booked last minute for stuff like this. Also try thumbtack.com good luck!!

Similar in a way, I paid a videographer nearly in full but found out he was arrested for stealing from brides. He ghosted me a month up to the wedding. I tried giving him benefit of the doubt since he technically hasn’t broken my contract yet and I decided at that point it wasn’t that important to me to have video. Since I paid him on PayPal, i figured if he didn’t show, he violated the contract and I disputed my claim on PayPal and got my money back.

Did you pay through a secure way like that you can dispute for if they don’t show? And could you get a backup dj?
