I'm really tight on my budget because I don't feel the need to overspend on a wedding. Is there anyone else that has a tight budget for their wedding? I've been doing a lot of research to be cost effective and some diy items. I am on a budget of $10,000 for about 150 guest. I'm in need of a...

I'm really tight on my budget because I don't feel the need to overspend on a wedding. Is there anyone else that has a tight budget for their wedding? I've been doing a lot of research to be cost effective and some diy items. I am on a budget of $10,000 for about 150 guest. I'm in need of a reception venue that includes open bar or byob and I want to bring my own catering company. I want a facility that I have to do limited decorating aslo. Helpppppp!!!!!

I also have a 150 person guest list and a $10000 budget. My venue for the ceremony and reception is only $1800 and my catering u

Is $1900 it will be buffet style to reduce costs. We are also able to bring our own alcohal and the caterer is providing a bar tender, this will save us a ton.

It is possible!!! We had a limited budget too of about the same amount. We were able to have about 120 guest, great venue with food included, and a honeymoon to Jamaica! Amazon is your best friend for decorations! Go simple for wedding dress! My dress was beautiful and only cost $550 at David's bridal Smiley smile

Good luck! Look for hidden gem family owned places to host your wedding! My place was a hidden gem! A little under $3,000 for venue and food for 120 people Smiley smile

I have the exact same thing. I'm on 10,000 budget with about 150 guest. I saved money by doing my own Save the Dates. We also got a great deal on our venue because we know the manager of the ranch. The ranch were getting married at is also very relax about things and we're able to bring our own caterers and alcohol, we're just hiring a bartender for the day. Our venue is already in a beautiful location so wont need a lot of decoeations. Look for a place thats already beautiful and flexible. Maybe a place that isnt always used as a wedding venue so that way they don't try to control everything in your wedding. Tight budgets aren't impossible to work with. You will have to take a lot of time researching the best options for the best price but as long as you plan with a lot of time you'll be fine.

If you want an open bar consider just having wine and beer.

@Celia It wasn't a joke. I am from South Florida and my Father worked in Hialeah when I was growing up. It is a run down area that is 75% Cuban. I can understand someone who is Cuban wanting to get married in that city, but I doubt most other people would want to.
