13 October 2019 brides!

Christina, on January 27, 2019 at 9:13 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
Or anyone one on a Sunday! I’m in Virginia and was not planning on a Sunday wedding, but my dream venue booked the 19th after she said she had a “soft hold” on it and would let me know if anyone inquired about it. Well, she booked it! And ended up saving me $500 because Sunday’s are cheaper And now our anniversary weekend will fall on a 3 day weekend!

Tell me why you chose to be a Sunday bride!

I’m a Sunday bride in August! Sadly, we didn’t get a discount for Sunday since our venue has one weekend rate, boo. But we chose Sunday initially because our venue already had the Saturday before that we wanted, our anniversary, booked, so we figured eh, next best thing. We were lukewarm at first about it but have definitely grown to be excited since it’ll allow us to have the low-key, laid back vibe we want (and end earlier, which is fantastic for us as lazy homebodies, haha).

Yay! I am on a Sunday in November in NC. We are traveling across the country for our wedding and were trying to minimize taking off days. We will fly in Thursday, get the license Friday, rehearsal Saturday, get married Sunday, and then we are off for thanksgiving after that! Our reception will end at 8 so people can get back if needed.

October 13th for us, too! We picked that day because it was the only one my photographer had open. It turned out to be a perfect fit because it's a full moon that night, and our theme is celestial.

We almost picked oct. 13! We had a hold on a venue for that date but then the manager at the venue ghosted us for like 3 weeks, so we backed out and went elsewhere. We ended up on aug. 11 which is also a Sunday at a different venue! I don’t think there was a discount, but I think there was a difference in the required minimum.

(Ignore my date on my app I just picked a random date for privacy). We are getting married on our anniversary this year which falls on a Saturday. We always planned on getting married on our anniversary, but let’s say we got married next year it would be on a Sunday haha. So I just picked my day based on what day I fell on because I wanted the same date as our anniversary if that makes sense.

We picked Oct. 13, 2019 for multiple reasons. 1)it was cheaper 2)we bought our house on Oct 13, 2016 3) we're kind of Halloween nerds & FH said "Oct 13 is easy to remember, especially if it's on a Friday" 😂

My date is October 6th, the Sunday before yours! We picked Sunday due to having the week off for a school break, as well as $1,000 cheaper for the venue!

Well, its cheaper! Lol. We didn't (and still don't) have a specific date in mind, but the one on my profile is the one I've been using so I'm growing fond of it. My venue of choice is also $500 cheaper on a Sunday.

It was cheaper! Also FH and I didn't want to share an anniversary with any of my family members and the 25th was already two cousins' anniversaries.
