13 days out and all of a sudden nervous!

My original wedding date was 5/16/20 but we had to postpone a full year to 5/15/21 because of COVID. The year flew by and now that it's almost here, I'm getting super nervous lol. Since we had an extra year to plan and save up (we're paying for the wedding ourselves), we decided to upgrade and do a traditional reception with a DJ, served dinner and all that jazz. We're pretty much set with the big things so now all that's left is deciding how I want my hair, nails, and makeup done and communicating logistics to our family and wedding party. This is a destination wedding so I wasn't able to do any trial runs with my hair and makeup so it will be a game time decision on our wedding day. I'm also super paranoid about forgetting to pack something so I'm starting a checklist. We shipped most of the ceremony and decor items to local family so they can drive the items to our resort. I'm nervous someone will forget something too. Anyone in the same boat and excited but kinda freaking out too?! 😆

    That's normal. Try to have an understanding and acceptance that something may go wrong. It's not the end of the world, nearly everything can be fixed, adjusted or modified.

    Me!! I'm in the same boat. We are 27 days out. We live in California, but are getting married in Las Vegas, with about 20 guests.

    We had to postpone last year because of Covid also. But even this year, our original venue wasn't going to open up to bigger events until maybe the fall. We wanted to keep our date, so we downsized everything (100 guests down to 20), and decided on a destination micro wedding in Las Vegas. Everything is going good, plans are in place, everything is paid for. But now I'm feeling so nervous!!

    We have family who are driving to Nevada, rather than flying. So, they are going to bring my wedding dress so I don't have to fly with it, as well as some decor items I'm able to have at our reception dinner. I trust these people completely. But there's still a little part of me that's freaking out that something will happen, and I won't have my dress! I know it's a bit irrational, and I am trying to relax. But it's hard!!

    We've been engaged for 3 years now. I've been waiting for this for so long!! I just want it to get here!

    Wow, 27 days out will fly by! I totally get it but I'm sure we'll be fine. I think it's just the excitement and nerves from the prolonged suspense but we are almost there! Congrats girl!
