Hey ladies...w see trying to decide between April or November...weather is about the dance so now we just need to decide if we want the extra 6 months to plan. Part of me thinks it'll be nice for saving, less rushed, will still be able to afford to vacation between then & now. The female side of me...

Hey ladies...w see trying to decide between April or November...weather is about the dance so now we just need to decide if we want the extra 6 months to plan. Part of me thinks it'll be nice for saving, less rushed, will still be able to afford to vacation between then & now. The female side of me is way too excited and 18~20 months feels like forever away & I feel like if I do 18 ill be doing no fun planning anytime soon.

Sorry, that was long winded Smiley smile any suggestions?

I personally have never seen a reason to wait over a year but it's really what you want. IF you need to save up and the weather will still be nice then go with Nov. but if imo, April is better...

I would do November. Honestly I have seen so many bride's get so stressed out trying to cram everything into a year. Also November will give you the better prices plus you well prob have first choice on everything.

Florida is beautiful all year round, thats why most people live there. Also, I should add I'm insanely biased since I have spent 4 years in DC and hate the bitter cold since I was born and raised in South Florida. FH and I are having a 22 month engagement, mainly because life is happening all at once and we need time to gather up some funding. That being said, if you're so indifferent about it (willing to let the wedding forums decide) then I would push it out and enjoy the process. Good luck either way Smiley smile

Something to consider- how much time do you have? We are getting married about 10.5 months after getting engaged but I am organized and don't procrastinate. On that note, we spent last Aug-Oct in the home buying/moving phase and had no time to do anything with the wedding. If I hadn't been so on top of everything right away, there is no way I could have pulled this off. But if you don't have much going on, 12 months is plenty.

What is the weather like where you live during those months?? That would be my deciding factor!!

DIY projects can be started now! If it's about money then give yourself more time.

Unless you need to save or there is a particular vendor you want that is booked already, go shorter. Our engagement will be about 17 months and it's been way too long. I'm a procrastinator and haven't done much anyways.
