11 yr old ring bearer? or make him a junior groomsmen?

That's really sweet that you're so close with him and he wants to be part of your wedding!

Personally....I've never seen a ringbearer that old. That doesn't mean it would be weird, I've just never seen it. I would be tempted to make him a junior GM, b/c he's going to grow up a lot between now and then. That way he gets to feel a little more mature. But I think it's really up to you guys.

He could be called "The Master of Rings". I saw that on a wedding show where the child was older than the usual ring bearer.

And you could let the choice be his. Once it gets a little closer to the wedding, since it is still pretty far away, he may still want to be the ring bearer or he may want to be a junior groomsman, depending what is "cool" to him. So you could let him make the call when it gets closer.

Thanks Jennifer~ I think I might just give him the option thats a better idea. I'm just such a stickler for details lol its hard to WAIT. But I think thats the best thing to do..just wait til he's a little older and let him make that choice..

My son is 9 and he was a jr groomsman. He had the option and absolutely did not want to be a ring bearer. He was happy to stand up like a bigger guy and strut in his tux

I'm thinking that he'll like that even better and I think its an even better idea
