10th anniversary vow renewal

I was given an idea about a vow renewal by my mother-in-law. And I decided on our 10th anniversary is when I'd like to do it. My husband and I got married on a very small budget and it was a lovely wedding at the church we still go to. But the memories I wish I had during our wedding was absent (like having my entire family absent for our wedding due to family issues). I want to do this vow renewal to create an opportunity to create memories and photo opts to where my side of the family is included. I've been reading a little on renewal vow etiquette, where it's a fopaux to wear your wedding dress because you are no longer a bride. But my father and grandma has never seen me in my wedding dress. Would it be weird to rewear my wedding dress or frowned upon? It's very much a bridal dress with a chapel train with beautiful lace and beading. I'd love to hear some thoughts on this.
