WOW! Where can I begin? lol
Things did not go quite as expected, but I knew that was going to happen anyway. However, my motto during most of the day was "rolling with the punches. I'm not letting anything affect me." - Here's a summary of my crazy day!!
- 11:45pm the day before the wedding, my boss (now-MIL) messaged me that I forgot to pay the company's insurance, WHICH is a big deal, so I had to work until past 1am, which was officially my wedding day.
-6:00am I wake up, and realize I FORGOT TO TAKE MY BIRTH CONTROL ALL WEEK, AND I WOKE UP TO HAVING MY PERIOD. I was trying not to panic, but I did. I drove home in the pouring rain to get my birth control, jumped in bed with my now-husband, and cried. Then I left about 5min later and went back to the hotel. That's when I started telling myself, it is what it is!! It's not the end of the world, even though it felt like it.
-10:00am or so we start my hair and couldn't find my hair extensions. Whatever, not a big deal.
-Almost 2pm, I cannot find my hair piece. I keep looking, I cannot find my accessories, Jacob's ring, garter, etc. I start to panic, and my MIL goes down IN THE RAIN to look for it in the car. NOTHING!!! I called Jacob and he couldn't find anything (until he did). His best man was staying at the hotel, so he got the stuff and brought them to me.
-4:00pm, get to the venue and realize that my bridesmaid's dress is not in the hanger. IT FELL ON THE WAY TO THE VENUE!! And I also realized that I left Jacob's gift/letter at the hotel as well. My bridesMAN drove back to the get dress and the gifts. Because he also forgot MY gift as his house. This whole time I was actually calmed lol. I kept saying "we still have 2 hrs. We will figure it out." My mom's dress ripped, BUT she had a second dress, so it was all OK.
The venue had champagne and everything prepared for us, but I just wanted water. We didn't have time to take pictures of my accessories, and I also forgot the wedding suite. Oh well...
-6:00pm ceremony started and I was SOO HAPPY. I was emotional all day, but once I walked down the aisle, I was READY! I didn't cry (surprising)
Sadly, it was raining all day so we were not able to take pictures outside, but after everything ended, the videographer suggested we could go to a place by the venue and do some aerial shots.
I'm still waiting on pictures and videos to be sent to me, but I will post what I have so far. NO MATTER ALL THE CRAZINESS DURING THE DAY, MY WEDDING FELT PERFECT! All my worries went away once I got to the venue. I was just ready!
Now I'm officially married!
