DIY Centerpieces

I'm getting married Sept. 18th of this yr. and I'm going to be doing the centerpieces myself. I'm going to have about 15-20 tables. I would love some suggestions on low cost centerpiece ideas.

What do you think about those websites that let your guests RSVP online? Do you think it's good or tacky? Is it easier to keep track of? Anyone doing this?
