Don't pay any mind to them.* To answer your actual question, I would kind of let your own heart decide who gets a plus one or not since it's YOUR wedding and you are the one paying for it lol. I wasn't invited to my FH cousin's wedding this past September and I was pretty upset about it, but I understood it was because they had never even met me and again, they were the ones paying, not me. Even though I am a good wedding gift giver lol. If there are SOs you personally know, it's because you mattered enough to be introduced to them and that's what I'm weighing my own guest list to.
