Just got an estimate for flowers at our wedding : decor (centerpieces, table pieces, etc) + bridal party for 2x what we wanted to spend. What are some ways we can ask the florist to be flexible & still capture most of the style we are after?

I'm thinking of just hiring a profession photographer to get formal shots, cocktail hour and the ceremony, maybe the first 3 hours. I'm wondering if I will regret not having high quality shots of the reception...we have plenty of talented friends...
