What are some suggestions to have in the hotel room the night of the wedding?

Our guest book is a hand painted canvas of us with a background. We plan to have our guests sign t for our guest book. The artist used an oil based paint. Anyone have any ideas on what to use to sign over it?

Has anyone had their friend officiate their ceremony? If so is there a good resource to make sure we have all the correct paperwork in order?
