I want my gown to be beautiful and also reasonable especially I will only wear it for a day. But is it fine that I only spent $200 on my wedding dress and buy it on Ebay?

I've heard that a lot of people dislike carnations at weddings. Why so? I think they're so gorgeous and I would want them in my wedding unless there's really some reason as to why they're hated so much.
