Fit and flare or is it too plain? or simple elegance?

Can't decide between ball gown or fit n flair style I love both but they are so different. How would you decide on a style -- traditional princess or more sophisticated? The wedding is in the afternoon. I'm not dead set on one of these. Thoughts?
