So now we are playing with the idea of eloping somewhere! Does anyone have any suggestion of places or ideas for elopement plans?

I'm thinking about not having any and just having a MOH (and FH will just have a BM, no groomsmen) because our wedding will be small. I don't want 1/2 of our friends who are attending to be in the wedding party! I don't know who to ask to be the MOH...

Any MD brides here? What venues did you use or have you looked at/considered? We need more affordable options...

What would you guys rather do: A. Have a less expensive venue with more expensive food (34 guests can fit into the budget). B. Have a more expensive venue with less expensive food (50 guests can fit into the budget). These options have the same base...

What do you do during the "Cocktail Hour" time if you don't have one?

What's your budget and how did you set it? We are keeping ours low because we want to get a house shortly before/after the wedding!

One of the venues we are looking at has a $300 ceremony fee for the half hour ceremony. It incluces set up and breakdown of chairs (we will have 40-50 guests). Is this crazy? I don't know must about wedding prices etc so input is greatly...

What are you doing to make your wedding creative/different in terms of entertaining (for those who are not having "traditional" weddings). We want ours to be memorable, but we can't think of anything too creative that would be fun for the guests.

Right now wer are thinking just doing the first dance "tradition".. the other traditions for weddings that we know of seem cheesy, but we are not very wedding educated. Any ideas? What are you doing?

Has anyone ever had or experienced a wedding without a DJ? We were just thinking about doing an ipod (hooked up to speakers) to keep the costs down. What do you think of this? Suggestions?
