Can you find a good deal on a cake stand?

Are you paying the ridiculous deposit/rental fee for your bakers cake stand?? Or have you found one yourself? it was a 40 dollar rental fee and a 100 dollar deposit (wtf??) to rent one from our baker. Do you need a cake stand? I would love to have...
