Wedgewood came through with the all-inclusive experience in more ways than we could hope for. Maybe we got lucky with our coordinator, Katherine, or maybe this is how they treat every couple but we were blown away by how well everything went. I even found out later about little snags that came up unexpectedly that Katherine handled discreetly and smoothly. She even snuck a picture of us immediately after the ceremony and put it on our sweetheart table! We left a lot of trust in their hands and they exceeded our expectations. 10/10 for sure!!

Katie, Averi and Taylor were so helpful and very easy to talk to. Anything we needed, they something prepared and more. They were so knowledgeable in all the things especially when it came down to picking and choosing the details. Katie, our day-off coordinator was superb, she was our calming presence when we were getting overwhelmed on our special day. She took care of everything from where to keep our phones down to our rings! She was our fairy god mother for the night.
Everybody did such a great job. The food was delicious, our banquet captian Scout was so sweet she made sure we were well fed the whole night , our dj Brian can read the room and just know how to switch gears to pick up the mood. Our bartender made all our signature drinks perfect (and we had 4!)

We really appreciate everything the team did for our special day to be truly remarkable. Hands down will definitely recommend Wedgewood Sterling Hotel.

The Sterling Hotel at Wedgewood turned our wedding into an absolute fairytale. They have mastered the art of crafting a seamless and unforgettable celebration. Planning our wedding from out of state could have been overwhelming, but the Sterling Hotel's team made it effortless. The long tenure of their staff, most of them being there for years, speaks volumes about the quality of the venue and the company culture at Wedgewood. This positive environment translates into happy, dedicated staff who truly excel at their jobs and go above and beyond to ensure you have the best day of your life.

Venue: The venue is absolutely stunning, especially with the recent renovations (August 2024). I appreciated the variety of spaces where guests could relax, sit, and mingle. While an outdoor ceremony in a Sacramento summer can be risky, I felt confident knowing they had backup options we could easily pivot to if it was too hot. The outdoor ceremony area was nicely shaded and even in 97 degree weather, it was surprisingly comfortable. Even though the venue is downtown, it felt like a secluded haven with minimal background noise.

Coordination: Their team of talented coordinators worked seamlessly together, ensuring every question I had was answered incredibly quickly. I don't recall a single instance where I waited more than 24 hours for a response. They were also very flexible in accommodating many of my untraditional requests. Their leadership throughout our multiple venue meetings was invaluable, ensuring every detail was covered and leaving no room for surprises on the big day.

Day of Coordination: While many talented individuals contributed to our special day, Katie truly stood out. I had been apprehensive about not having an external wedding coordinator, as you often hear horror stories of venue coordinators prioritizing the venue's interests, but this couldn't be further from the reality I had with SHWW. Katie helped manage everything I could have ever dreamed of and plenty of things I didn't dream of because that's how well she knows weddings. From perfectly timing the ceremony to handling boutonnieres and bouquets, executing my decor vision flawlessly, and even resolving an outside vendor issue, Katie was always two steps ahead, ensuring everything ran perfectly. Her dedication and proactive approach made us feel completely supported and stress-free throughout the entire day.

Food: The food was fantastic and received rave reviews from everyone we talked to. We had a diverse group of guests with various dietary restrictions, and the venue did an amazing job accommodating all of their needs. We opted for the plated meal service and were impressed with how quickly and efficiently they were able to serve everyone's meals.

Bartenders/Serving Staff: : The team was absolutely amazing! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The handoff from our coordinator to the captain went smoothly, and Averi ensured everything ran without a hitch and our needs were met. By that point, there wasn't much coordination left to do, so it definitely didn’t feel necessary to have a coordinator there (but I would have partied with Katie all night if I could have) as Averi was able to handle anything that arose. The staff also went above and beyond by packing up our belongings at the end of the night, making our departure stress-free and easy.

Contracted Vendors: Wedgewood's all-inclusive packages are undoubtedly a major plus, eliminating the stress of coordinating multiple vendors and knowing that the vendors are all very familiar with the venue. However, for couples with a very specific vision (like us), it's important to be aware that achieving those unique touches might involve additional costs for upgrades beyond the standard offerings.

To give you an idea, we had 61 guests with the Elite package and below is what we ended up paying extra for certain customizations. Of course, your experience may vary depending on your preferences.

That being said we were beyond thrilled with all of the vendors. They executed our vision flawlessly, and we'll be leaving detailed reviews on their individual pages.

Cake Castle Bakery We upgraded the design on the cake to include swirls in multiple colors for a 2 layer 8 inch and 10 inch cake this was ~$185.

Nameless Faceless Entertainment Single Fixture Dance Floor Light $150

Wild Flower Design Group: We upgraded from 6-8 (can’t remember what the exact number was) bud vases to 14 for $20 per table and our sweetheart table for $25 for a total of $185 + Fees.

SWOON! We've been on the hunt for the perfect historic-style venue in NorCal and we had to check out Sterling Hotel while we were in Sacramento visiting family. The team was so helpful walking us through all of the package options and date options. We love the downtown Sac setting for wedding photos and activities, and the venue itself is so cool. We love the idea of a ceremony in the indoor parlor and then our reception in the ballroom. We're so excited!

We were on a pretty tight budget but were still able to get everything we wanted and more! I didn't think getting married at a venue like this was possible until I met with the Wedgewood Weddings team. They showed me that I could make my wedding dreams come true without spending a fortune. Since it was all-inclusive, I knew my total upfront and there were no additional fees later on. Even with a small budget, I still felt like I was getting married at a luxury venue. The venue team took care of so much and I just showed up and enjoyed the day. I am so happy I found Sterling Hotel to host my wedding!!!

We had an amazing wedding! Everyone on the team went above and beyond to make our day so beautiful and special. Taylor and Scout were super helpful throughout the whole process and day of the wedding. We used the venues florist, caterers, and DJ and we are so happy that we did.

We had such a wonderful and special experience with Wedgewood Weddings at the Sterling. The venue was perfect for our intimate small wedding(>50 guests), but could easily accommodate twice the amount of guests! The planners, vendors and coordinators we worked with were accommodating, professional and hands-on at all the times, but also left us to do the fun parts on our own with planning our perfect day. The process was so streamlined and organized, and having our own planning binder to fill in what we wanted and didn’t want made everything super easy and so much less stressful. For the money spent it’s worth it to have Wedgewood do the heavy lifting, especially if you’re like me and hate planning anything, or if you just feel completely lost or out of your element with planning a wedding in general. Extra thanks to the DJ and the bar staff who exceeded our expectations! We were super picky about our music and DJ Preston absolutely delivered! Such a great experience all-around!

Our wedding at the Sterling Hotel was absolutely perfect. The Wedgewood team did such a great job organizing everything. We used their preferred vendors and were surprised by how well they all worked together during the ceremony and reception. It made planning the wedding so easy as well.

The team at the Sterling Hotel was awesome! We had a few accommodations that they very easy worked with us on. They were attentive to our vision and easy to work with. They provide an amazing service for the value. The staff, the food, the venue, the quality of 3rd party vendors they work with are all 10/10.

The all-inclusive option is the way to go! For 200 guests, our 2nd favorite venue's bid was only $3,000 less and included almost NONE of the vendors-especially the open bar all night. The best part? You can take out ANY part of the plan that you don't want. Preston, the DJ, is super well organized and knows how to keep the party going! The florist offers an option to pick up the centerpieces and donate them to a hospice facility, which we LOVED. And the venue is gorgeous, although parking is hard to find and the street noise on the outdoor patio can be a little loud.

My husband and I are so glad we decided to have our wedding at Wedgewood Sterling Hotel. From start to finish the team was super responsive, answered all our millions of questions, and went above and beyond to make our wedding day an absolute success. The pricing was laid out very clearly and from the beginning, and the venue itself is gorgeous. Emily was our wedding coordinator day of and she was absolutely amazing. She was super on top of our timeline and made the ceremony and cocktail hour run smoothly. DJ Preston Murray was a blast and was so on top of our requests! Our banquet captain was also amazing, we didn't have to lift a finger to get food or drink all night. Felt like royalty! 100% recommend this venue!

Wedgewood Weddings at the Sterling Hotel helped make our perfect day happen. The staff were incredible and made sure everyone was taken care of. Our guests were extremely complimentary of the food. Our DJ (DJ Preston) was great and had everyone on the dancefloor for hours. The florals through Wildflowers DG were gorgeous, and the cake through Karen's Bakery was delicious and beautifully designed. I truly could not have asked for a better experience and the coordinators at Wedgwood made the planning process as painless and easy as possible. The best part: we pulled off a perfect day UNDER budget.

We were so happy with our Wedgewood Wedding at The Sterling Hotel. The venue was beautiful and the Wedgewood team did an amazing job making it even more beautiful. The team was great to work with. Everyone was easy to communicate with and open to our vision. There were very flexible and accommodating! Wedgewood offers really fantastic wedding packages that comes with everything you would need. Highly recommend the flameless sparklers on your entrance, huge hit! Wedgewood Weddings made planning my wedding super easy and I was very grateful for that! From the very beginning we had a wonderful experience with the Wedgewood staff. Then the day of our wedding, our experience went far better than we could have ever anticipated. Our coordinator, Hannah was consistently on top of things throughout our ceremony/cocktail hour and our banquet captain, Demeatrious was extremely thoughtful and a true pleasure to work with during our reception. We could not have asked for a better team to work with. Venue looked incredible and food was delicious. We received many compliments on the food.

We toured many venues in Sacramento and as soon as we walked up to The Sterling we knew this was the one. From day one, we were treated like we would be spending 100k when in actuality we had a very small budget. We were so tired of being made fun of for our tiny budget from other venues that we told Hannah our budget right at the beginning and she never acted any differently towards us. She told us that she would somehow make all of our dreams for our wedding come true even with a tiny budget and she blew the whole thing out of the water. The entire planning process was a breeze. We had to do almost nothing except say yes or no. They somehow planned the perfect wedding even with all of the covid drama happening around us. The day of the wedding we had Ashley as our coordinator and she did an AMAZING job. We were her first wedding she did alone and you would have thought it was her 5000th. Everything went so smoothly. We never had to worry about one single thing. If we needed more drinks while getting ready she was already standing outside the room with champagne. The entire day was perfect! My family works in the wedding industry and they will tell that you that they have never seen a wedding so perfectly executed. All of our friends raved about the event. We had so much fun that we joke constantly that we want to get married every year! Thank you all for the perfect day!

When we started planning our wedding I was dreading having to keep track of every little aspect, juggling so many vendors - thankfully, we found Wedgewood and the team at the Sterling Hotel! From our first meeting to tour the venue (with Sarah) right down to the last minute of the day of our wedding, everything was taken care of. I never wondered what the next step was; our coordinator (Ashley) was there to keep us on track. Ashley made everything easy for us and being an all inclusive venue, we didn't have to coordinate catering, tables/linens, lighting, DJ, bartender... etc! The bakery (Karen's Bakery) and florist (Wild Flowers Design Group) they work with are the ones we ended up book as well and couldn't have been happier; they both did such an amazing job and everything looked beautiful and just as we hoped.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend WW and Sterling Hotel to any couple looking for a venue!

Hands down, the BEST wedding planning decision I made was booking with Wedgewood Weddings at the Sterling! As soon as I toured the venue I knew I wanted to book with them for our wedding this past March. The Sterling Hotel has a chic vintage vibe that's classy and elegant without feeling too old or dated. From start to finish, the entire Wedgewood team made us feel so special! I know they work with tons of couples, but they seriously made us feel like they were our own private entourage simply there to make sure everything went exactly as we envisioned. The attention to detail and communication were impeccable. We went with the Premier Package and the all-inclusive feel of the package is incredible! It eased so much stress to know all the major decisions were made with one contract. We went with their preferred vendors for cake, photo/video, DJ, and flowers.
Hannah was our day-of coordinator and she rocked it! We were going to have the ceremony in the Rose Garden, but there was a chance of rain, so Hannah had the indoor Ballroom set up as well, just in case! We held out as long as we could with the intermittent rain, but in the end we had to move it inside. None of the guests knew any different since it was all done so discretely and smoothly! She was so supportive and kind in working with me. The whole event was just perfect. The food was delicious and the DJ (Preston) was on fire! Preston was cool, attentive, professional, and even jumped out on the dance floor for a choreographed dance of an N'SYNC song! So talented! He announced everything perfectly and threw in some great songs throughout the event!

We at Sacramento Event Co absolutely LOVE working at the Wedgewood Sterling Hotel in downtown Sacramento.
The staff at the Sterling Hotel are completely hands on and well educated in weddings and the planning process. This venue is beautiful and conveniently attached to a historic hotel which has modern updates, and placed right in downtown Sacramento.

Where should we even start? Wedgewood is amazing! The Sterling Hotel (Hannah & Amanda) staff are amazing. They’ve been so accommodating right from the start. They assisted us in every step of the way and believe us when we say our whole wedding process was literally STRESS-FREE. They took care of almost everything. Little miscommunications were corrected right away and we felt that we were always their priority. They’ve blown all our expectations of service, care, and decorative expertise out of the water! Our reception was even better than we imagined it would be. They executed the decorations better than what we envisioned it. It’s only been a week since our wedding and we cannot stop thinking about how virtually perfect everything was. My husband and I wanted a very small, intimate wedding, and were only planning a 6 month engagement. I don't know what I would have done without Wedgewood and their amazing team! From start to finish they were amazing to work with. The staff are friendly and supportive, knowledgeable and accommodating. I can't believe how well organize and planned the whole process was AND it still was 100% personalized to us. (Especially thank you to Amanda for being my go-to on our wedding day! ) It doesn't feel like a cookie cutter experience at all. Everything we said "we want to do XYZ" they met our requests with a smile. My husband lost his parents in recent years and it was important that we honor their presence on our day. The staff at Wedgewood Sterling hotel were so sweet and understanding.
I can't say enough about how smooth and enjoyable the entire process was. Everyone should have the individualized wedding of their dreams- they made it happen for us.

You best believe the hype about the Sterling Hotel. There's a reason why they consistently get five-star reviews--it's because it really is a five-star venue. Planning a wedding is super stressful, and the support we received from the entire Sterling team during the entire process was invaluable to the success of our day.
We got married here Oct 13, 2019 and I can't imagine our day getting any better. Everyone told us to be prepared for something to go wrong, but nothing did. I credit this towards the amazing staff members. Hannah was our day-of coordinator and Lauren and Kali also helped us as well. Everyone was thoughtful and always willing to help. Importantly, no one was pushy or rushed us to make any decisions.
Communication with the staff was easy and their coordination with the vendors (Wild Flowers, DJ Preston, Karen's Bakery) felt seamless and required very little to no effort on our part--a huge relief, especially in the busy days leading up to the ceremony! The food was excellent, we got a lot of compliments. (My aunt gave the salmon rave reviews, and she has an extremely high bar for what constitutes quality food.) The venue itself is beautiful and tidy.
We enjoyed all of their vendors too! DJ Preston is da bomb diggity. He definitely knows how to keep the dance floor going, fading out songs if he noticed that the group wasn't feeling it. Wild Flowers DG was great to work with too. The flowers were fresh and gorgeous, and they were so easy to work with. Our cake from Karen's was delicious--our only regret was that we didn't eat more of it.

We cannot thank the staff at Wedgewood Sterling enough! Our day was that of a fairy tale and perfect because of their hard work and dedication. From the coordinators to the awesome DJ Preston who had the dance floor packed all night the the delicious food. Everyone had an amazing time and it was effortless for us!

My fiance and I booked with them recently and I am in love! We worked with Hannah and she was wonderful, she answered all of our questions and helped us put together a great wedding package. The venue is beautiful and elegant, you can book a hotel block (Through the actual hotel though, not Wedgewood) You have so much decorating freedom but no open flames. You can add or remove anything you want in the package, including photography. The venue does not have onsite parking but there are parking meters (free on Sunday) and a parking garage nearby for $5.00 a day. After you book you are given a planning binder to help you along your way. Your invitations are also included in the package, you are given a credit a few months before the ceremony to use on their website to order your invitations but you can use it on many things on their website, not just invites. Booking with them has alleviated so much stress and makes the whole thing so much easier and I honestly cannot wait to get married there. the venue it so beautiful it does not need much decorating, it's worth it booking here. I will update as the planning goes along but I doubt I will run into any problems with them. The bridal suite is gorgeous and spacious with large mirrors and a private bathroom. the Groom Room is actually one of the bars, but plenty of room and space to dress and prepare. I tried to include in this review everything I wanted to know while I was considering them before booking, I love this venue, I have a feeling I won't be disappointed.
UPDATE: So Sadly due to COVID restrictions I had to move my wedding to a different Wedgewood venue and did not have my wedding here. But!! I still want to express how amazing the staff are, they were so quick to communicate and Hannah and Preston even came out to my new venue to help make our wedding day great. I cannot recommend them enough, the whole experience was amazing.

I can’t remember names (just because I suck at that) BUT the ladies were a pleasure to work with! Everything was really easy and affordable! My husband and I had a small wedding of 20 people and it’s hard to find a vendor that looks nice for a small wedding... this place was perfect. The ballroom was beautiful and amazing for reception. The food was delicious and the servers were fantastic. They really made sure things went smoothly for me and my nervous self. Thank you staff at the Sterling Hotel, for the best day of my life. ❤️

Although this was the second wedding for me and my husband, they made our time truly a memorable one. Kelsey was very detailed, to every bits and pieces you can think of. We included everything in our package except the photographer and videographer. Our officiant was Rev Rick Tan. He helped us personalize our vows and our DJ was Preston Murray. He gave a great life to our wedding reception. Our coordinator Hannah was superb and overall they have been so instrumental to the great memories we treasure because it was just so amazing! Our guests were pleased and nothing but great comments. One even said that my party was very elegant. Thank you team Wedgewood Sterling Hotel.

I am not a review type person, but I felt it would not be right if I didn't say how much I appreciate the staff, and Kaylie and Kylie (sorry if I spelled your names wrong) They were absolutely FANTASTIC!!! They worked with me and made my wedding day the literal day of my dreams! Everything from the getting dressed to the saying goodbye was PERFECT!! They do all the work. I just got dressed (which seemed like a lot too) I have only been married now going on two weeks so I don't have the pics yet, but when I get some I will post! IT was PERFECT. Thank you doesn't seem to suffice at all!

Everything about this venue was great. First, I loved the fact that they had inclusive packages; I got my DJ and officiant as part as my package. The planning team was so helpful with everything, they answered any questions I had. The venue itself is beautiful. The food served at the reception was phenomenal. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this venue. The DJ and officiant that we booked through the venue were absolutely amazing as well. I am so happy we chose Wedgewood at the Sterling Hotel.

This venue is incredible and absolutely stunning. My husband and were recently married at the sterling and we would not change a single thing. The girls Kali and Kelsey are incredible and super attentive to detail. They go out of their way to ensure that your day is exactly how you imagine and that stress is limited.

Kali and Kelsey were very attentive and responsive throughout the whole process and our wedding day turned out exactly as we imagined. My husband and I would not change a single detail and we loved every minute of our day. Our entire family was blown away by our wedding and, not exaggerating, but every single guest has reached out to me saying it was “the best wedding they have ever been to” and that “they do not remember the last time they had that mush fun”. My vision was brought to life and I am so thankful to have found this venue and to have had this experience.

This was the perfect place to have a wedding. It was a dream come true. Kali was my coordinator from the very beginning and did a hands down fabulous job. She is so professional and easy to talk to. She went above and beyond for us. When I started to look around two years ago many vendors did not want to help me because my wedding was so far out. Wedgewood at the Sterling hotel treated me with respect and followed up throughout the years. I highly recommend this venue, you will be impressed and have no stress. They do everything for you.

The Wedgewood Sterling Hotel Team is very cooperative and willing to sit-down to answer all your questions. My wife and I got married back in January and we are so glad that we held our wedding at this charming venue. The historic hotel is located in the heart of downtown and is easily accessible by your friends and families on the weekends. The hotel staff, wedding packages, and even their vendors are flexible, collaborative, and cooperative. It is possible to customize the details by adding something you want or deleting something that does not seem to work. I am so glad Kali and Kelsey are patient with us because we changed our minds a few times during the whole planning process. We chose Wedegewood because they offer a package deal that you can customize every part of. It makes wedding planning so much easier to have it all in one price and the money isn't bad for what you're getting. Thus far the ladies of Wedegewood have been amazing and extremely helpful.

My wedding was absolutely beautiful and felt flawless. We had Kelsey the day of our event and she was absolutely amazing. She ran things perfectly and I am so happy we went with Wedgewood and got a day of coordinator. Our day was perfect. The food was great, the service was spot on, and EVERYONE said how amazing the day was.

I have to say, I love planning anything and everything under the moon and when it came to my wedding, its was no different. I recently had my wedding here Friday, April 29th, 2016. I loved that it was an all inclusive venue, but also that you didn't have to stick to what they suggested. My husband and I made changes to the packages throughout our whole planning time. Kelsey and Matt who we dealt with the most were amazing. Great communication, always flexible, and really genuine people who really just want to make your day amazing. I don't think we could have asked for a better Wedgewood team! The day of the wedding went by without a hitch. I know there were things that were bound to happen, but at this point, we just wanted to celebrate and make sure our friends and families were taken care of. In all, we were so happy and Wedgewood did an awesome job serving us and our 200 guests!

Our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Kelsey, our Wedgwood coordinator, was absolutely AMAZING. She totally understood my vision and made it come to life from day one. Whether it be all of my little tiny details or wants from outside vendors, she made every single thing happen. Even couches and a fire pit for our cocktail hour in addition to a mariachi. Every small detail inside the ballroom was beautiful. She took the time to get to know me over the 10 month planning process and did everything in her power to make our night a dream come true. I've received nothing but compliment after compliment after compliment from all of our guests. The morning of the wedding, I went running into her office with a huge smile on my face and she greeted me with just as much excitement. The bridal suit is BEAUTIFUL to get ready in! Kelsey and her staff brought us mimosas and snacks all morning long and was constantly checking on myself and my bridal party. The banquet services during the reception were amazing. They constantly offered my husband and I food, drinks and anything we needed. They even brought us a HUGE plate of bacon wrapped scallops because they knew how much I loved them! The meal (petite filet mignon and lemon chicken) was DELICIOUS! Melted in our mouth. Kelsey was just absolutely fabulous. She let me bring in all the vendors I wanted (florist, DJ, photographer, videographer) and worked with me with the vendors Wedgwood offers. All were amazing and Kelsey made all of my dreams happen. I didn't know it was humanly possible to have THAT much fun. I seriously can't thank the Wedgwood staff enough. Our wedding was a dream come true.

My husband and I choose this venue because we feel in love with the look of it, working with Wedgewood was just a surprising bonus. The venue itself is beautiful, we used just about every room they offered, chandelier for ceremony, cellar for cocktail hour, ballroom for reception, bridal suite for getting ready and Huntington suite for the night we stayed. When we were getting ready they offered us champagne and some cheese and crackers, so sweet. They walked us through everything and was there for comfort us when we were nervous about how things would turn out. The staff was amazing at making us feel that we were never an inconvenience to them when they were answering our billion questions. During and after our wedding all of our guest came to us and told us how much they loved our venue and the staff that was working there. It is really awesome that their packages are completely customize-able, you can literally get everything done through them if you wanted to, or just a few things. My only wish is that they would add more to their invitations available, or make it where you don't have to go through them for that. but that is a small thing that wasnt that important to us. overall i would give them an A++ in everything and DEFINITELY recommend them.

All inclusive wedding venue...loved everything, they set up everything and it was beautiful. Super easy and no stress for me.... yeah that's a win for me!

Great place for having a wedding. Loved the venue, the affordability and they work so well with you to plan out your big day. They really lessen the stress with their scheduling, checklists and connected vendors. All the guests were happy and enjoyed themselves at the beautiful venue.

I wanted a wedding venue that would take care of most of the details looked beautiful and felt like the place. I found that here. It is an amazing venue and I am so happy that I was able to book my date. I know my wedding is far away but the service has been outstanding, especially since I don't live in the Sacramento area but live in Alabama. Every email is responded to super fast. This place was well within my budget, we are spending less than $5000 on the wedding and I am getting everything I want.

Not our first pick but glad it worked out. Due to COVID, we had to move our wedding from Wedgwood Jefferson. But let me say the Staff at this location are really awesome here. A few bumps on the road there but they did a great job overall. Our families are really big drinkers and they ran out of beer rather early, even when asked if this was a possibility. One of the reasons I did not rank them higher was due to a request being ignored.

On several occasions, I made the staff aware that I did not want wrinkles in the table linens and even offered to bring a steamer. I was assured that they would not have any on each of these occasions. This is a huge pet peeve of mine and do not like how it comes out in pictures. Day of, wrinkles in the linen. May not seem like a big deal but don’t like to be told something and then for it not to happen. Especially, when you’re paying for a service. But I get it, #%#* happens.

We used our own florist and baker. We also rented a few items from Sac Event Co. The DJ Sterling offers was AMAZING! He really went above and beyond along with the officiant. The staff really made this an overall great experience.

When planning keep in mind all the additional expenses you will need. Their packages come with food, drinks, and vendors, which you can’t beat. This is the main reason we chose wedge wood. Although, there was still plenty of coordinating to be done.

It was truly magical like I wanted. Really good service and they take of everything. All the vendors in one and you just pay them and let them know what you want and they will put it together. It was nice on the day of the wedding to not have to have my friends and family doing all that work and they were able just to arrive all dressed with their makeup done, relax, take pictures and enjoy our special day. I would always recommend hiring coordinators even if it's more money. A lot less stressful.

THIS PLACE IS STUNNING..VERY BEAUTIFUL.

We booked The Sterling Hotel through Wedgewood for our ceremony and reception. We were able to choose a ceremony space between the ballroom and the hotel upstairs and we chose the ballroom. It is such a beautiful location, great price, and they can make almost everything all inclusive. The only outside vendors we had to use were a videographer (which can be gotten through there recommended vendor Tracey Hedge, but we went another way) and the bridal boutique for the dress.

There are several different types of packages: crystal, silver, gold, emerald, and millennium. This is all available on their website. We got the silver package which included DJ services, dinner, invitations, a champagne toast, cheese and cracker appetizers (during cocktail hours), wine with dinner, and a flameless candle centerpiece that we chose to forgo. We were told we could pay per person to upgrade any of the services. For example, it was $6 per person to have flower centerpieces provided by a vendor they work with.

We did not have to do much upgrades (we got a dessert bar for $6 per person and they have the same price if you want a cake) because Wedgewood is currently having a special where customers can get three select things for free. You could get upgraded lighting, $500 towards the bar, upgraded chairs, upgraded appetizers, and coordination services.
We got $500 towards the bar, coordination services, and upgraded appetizers (we got to choose 6. The potstickers were great). This was like getting the gold package but only paying for the silver package.

The day went smoothly (I would definitely recommend the coordination services) and I wouldn't change venues for anything!

Kelsey (our day of coordinator) is AMAZING! She is so kind and so sweet and went far beyond above and beyond for us. We had a lot of personalizing touches for the off cite ceremony at the rose garden and she made every ounce of it beautiful and worry free. All I had to do was wake up and show up. Everything ran so smooth and went so seamlessly even I was amazed, and I don't impress easily.
I cannot remember our catering lead name but she was so accommodating, checking in with us throughout the night, making sure we we "watered and fed" seeing how we were doing. Amazing.
Alina and Chris our emcee and DJ were great. They followed our lead when it came to the program of the night. The announcements could have been better and there were a few songs that were played that we not on our list but overall great service.
He flower vendor, very easy to work with but did not capture what I was wanting. It turned out nice overall. The bouquets were beautiful though.
Reverend Jose was great! He did an amazing job! Could not have asked for anything better.
The food, I was underwhelmed with but everyone was seeming to really enjoy it so, overall a win.
Overall, the vendors are difficult to get ahold of or a response from but they pulled it all together and made our day amazing!

The Sterling Hotel is a charming venue and conveniently located in downtown Sacramento. Its all-inclusive packages really made wedding planning essentially stress-free and proposes a great value, especially for couples who are working with specific budgets. The Wedgewood Team - wedding coordinators, banquet captains, vendors - were attentive, flexible, and really made our wedding reception run pretty seamlessly. Our guests had a blast and my husband and I both enjoyed ourselves and being with our guests.

If thinking about this venue, I would triple check everything. The wedding coordinator was great until she left home halfway through our reception. I’m not sure where the miscommunication happened, but we were told we get a complimentary stay at the bed and breakfast and we didn’t know until the end of our reception that we don’t have a room. They also cut our cake for all the guests first instead of cutting the guests’ cake. The people who worked at the end of the night weren’t helpful or understanding at all. Good thing we have good friends!

In short: this is a venue that will lie to wring every last cent out of the hotel.

I booked before the Sterling Hotel was bought by Wedgewood. Our wedding was today, 05/16/15. While the ceremony itself was a lot of fun, none of that can be chalked up to Wedgewood.

In short: Wedgewood booked another wedding in their lobby during our wedding. When we booked our wedding (and blocked out the entire hotel), we were told no other parties would be booked that weekend. That changed with the sale to Wedgewood. Annoying but since they told us it was a "small anniversary dinner." It was another wedding.

As you can imagine, at least four sets of our guests went to the wrong wedding before realizing there was another wedding downstairs.

Sounds like no big deal? Though we had the ballroom and downstairs bar booked (I'll mention again that the original deal was the full hotel), Meghan, the coordinator, told the photographers to "keep us away from the front of the building," then suggesting a parking lot around the corner. That's totally inappropriate for a five-figure contract. This other wedding also left the entire porch completely off limits to photos, until I complained--and it wasn't my complaint to Meghan that fixed things, it was the other bridal party feeling uncomfortable seeing us arguing.

It's this outright lie that makes me so disgusted.

Once we managed to get photos the event went fairly well, though I was a vegetarian and the staff served me a huge plate of ham. Plus, one guest picked up a clean plate to find a literally-dirty plate underneath, and another told me that three different glasses at their table had lipstick stains when they sat down.

The hotel is beautiful, and Emily the banquet captain did her part to make sure our event ran smoothly. All banquet staff had a great attitude, and our Morningstar DJ did an awesome job.

Still, I'm completely disappointed that we'd be lied to so the hotel could make a few extra bucks.
